I went solo to Millcroft for a day spa experience ie using the hot springs and other facilities as well as having a booked massage. The spa is located on an amazingly beautiful property with the waterfall area taking my breath away…. I found it soothing to bask in its energy . The trails were less pleasant with too many mosquitoes to
relax.
The spa building ,change rooms eating areas are dated with poor layout and not very user friendly. I had to be constantly asking my way around . My locker was in a cramped area in the hallway so it was hard to navigate it. I was not offered slippers at check in as most spas do and had to ask .
The pool and springs areas felt more like a family hotel with lots of loud conversation and a buzz not typical of a retreat. I did not feel relaxed out there at all.
The spa cafe was not clearly marked and I had to ask how to get service. The food is ordered at a counter and I was low key insulted by the cashier when she insinuated that I might not be able to afford the sweet potato fries with my meal. My lunch experience had a very budget feel with not so budget prices. Charging 3$ for a bag of chips does not make it upscale.
I must say though that the massage made up for some of that. My therapist … I think his name is Aaron…was very skilled and professional.
Hydration is suggested after a massage as well as before and they ran out of water in the treatment area.
I think that there is so much potential for that place with its location but their approach to customer experience needs work . They need to understand that people come to a spa and pay money to feel serene , pampered and relaxed…. This is not the time for do it yourself and figuring out. I can’t speak for the inn or other dining facilities since I didn’t use them but would not recommend the spa overall and certainly don’t plan to return .
Consejo:Bring your own slippers to the spa

Enjoyed a lovely evening here and a spa day with my family for our Christmas treat. Staff and service is excellent and my facial with Rampreet was amazing. It’s the first time I’ve been here since COVID, and it looks like they are back in full swing!

This was my worst spa experience so far. I had the collagen facial treatment and the service was rushed and not worth the money. The person who did my treatment was congested and had an itchy throat. That made me feel agitated and not able to fully enjoy my treatment.
To top my experience I forgot my tennis bracelet in the room where I had my treatment and when I remembered, 30 minutes later the bracelet was nowhere to be found ... No one dealt with the situation or even followed up...No one cared...Not even a courtesy call from the managers...
This was not a vintage hotel experience for sure...

My daughter and I each enjoyed two treatments at this wonderful spa. So many services to choose from, it was hard to decide. There are amazing hot springs there which added to the relaxation, as well as a cold water plunge pool and a good gym. Beautiful robes are available for use. Great Spa to go to for a day but even nicer to stay overnight!

My boyfriend and I just had a wonderful stay at Millcroft , we used the spa, we had a beautiful dinner, breakfast and we stayed the night in the Croft Rooms with a private hot tub and fireplace.

The service was amazing I cannot say enough good things about this place, the atmosphere, decor and smell of wood-burning fireplaces is amazing. The staff is amazing, so accommodating and sweet.

We had a beautiful bottle of wine and charcuterie at time of check in waiting in our room, which was delicious. They also offer turn down service, which was such an amazing touch ,and they provided us with a beautiful rose during the service.

The restaurant was the absolute highlight. The meal was heavenly - the scallops were delicious and the venison was amazing. Again, the manager
(I believe) of the restaurant was so accommodating, changed our reservation time for us on short notice and placed us at a beautiful table in the “pod” overlooking the gorgeous waterfall feature.

Overall I would recommend this place for a beautiful getaway. You will not be disappointed. 5/5 stars for sure.

It was a beautiful drive up to this location during the fall. When we got to the complex is was quaint - like a little European village. The challenge of this, of course, was that driving in and out was a bit tricky as you have to pass the inn and restaurant to get to the spa. And the area in front of the inn is quite small for cars. We had to wait for other visitors to move their cars, and delivery trucks and golf carts parked in awkward positions before we could make our way to the spa.

The spa itself was lovely. My friend got a massage while I received reflexology and we were both very satisfied with our services. The environment was clean and peaceful. The staff were lovely. I do wish the change/lockeroom area was bigger though. On a busy day it's hard to get around other patrons in such a tight space.

There were a few pools to choose from - 2 hot, 1 warm, 1 cold, and a sauna. These were nice. It was a nice day when we went to it was a nice view to sit outside. My biggest pet peeve though, is that I wish Millcroft enforced a no cell phone outside the locker room/check-in area policy like the Scandinavian spa in Collingwood. It's a bit irritating to be enjoying yourself in the pool and looking over to see not one, but two groups of young girls trying to get their best selfie. The point of the spa is to disconnect for a few hours. Also, for privacy's sake, other patrons might not want to be filmed or photographed in their swimsuits.

I liked that you could grab some food and drinks in the restaurant near the pools. It was convenient to enjoy the pools for a bit, come in to eat while still in our robes, and be able to go back out to the pools afterwards. Just a warning though - the restaurant closes after 4pm and is pay as you go.

Overall a great visit and I would return again, perhaps midweek instead when it's less busy.

We visited to celebrate my birthday, enjoyed the pools and ambiance of the hotel. Food was awesome, but they didn't have two of the beers on their list available ( sold out ). My biggest problem was our actual room - it was 30+ degrees, small windows that let in limited air and the air conditioning did not work. My main goal for this overnight was a good night's sleep away from the kids! Finally at 3 in the morning I went down to the front desk and asked for a fan. I just wouldn' t expect the room to be so uncomfortable for the price. Everything else was nice - made me feel special with a birthday card and whatnot but I definitely would have traded it for a bit of climate control ...

I visited this Spa this past Sunday, September 15 2019, with my 2 daughters. We have Spa day each end of season, to spend time together. This end of Summer Spa day we had booked to visit Millcroft. The service providers of our chosen services were ok, but not exceptional. I go myself regularly to Hockley Valley and I get exceptional.
However what I was dissapointed with was that we had booked lunch as part of our Spa experience and this was very disconcerting. Food took forever to arrive, even though lunch was booked into our day. When brought to the servers attention, we got offered to go get our services done and come back... It would have been 3 and a half hours later. We then were served our food 15 minutes prior to our 1st booked service.

Lunch was booked by the Spa as part of our itinerary... should they not know timelines?
And then you actually have to pay for lunch, at the Spa Cafe separately, they do not add into your Spa day bill. So you are wearing you robe, and now you have to go back to the lockers to get your wallet to pay. I find this very client unfriendly, and not what other Spas of high caliber do.
If this is a policy, not a problem, but advise guests when they are checking in.

This was the start of our day - lunch, and it put a sour note for the whole experience.
