My experience was very positive! The owner , Veronica Pira, is experienced and very accommodating. The salon is easy to get to, plenty of parking space and a welcoming environment inside! It's great to have a professional hair salon in the Cascade/Chipita Park area.

This place is worth the drive! Only 45 min East of Colorado Springs near Painted Mines. You can easily make a day of it by packing a picnic lunch ( truly in the middle of nowhere so bring your own!) there are tours on the weekends only. Read website for details. They take very good care of the animals and you can get way closer than at a regular zoo or animal park. They frequently "interactive options" for an extra fee. Today was " get your picture taken while holding a 3 week old baby tiger" and "feed the lemurs". The cost was $25 per interactive experience. The staff (volunteers) are very knowledgable and well trained! They share interesting details about the animals so it is educational as well! Fine for kids- just hang on to them as you are literally just on the other side of the chain link fence from most of the animals! The tour guides will give you reminders! They have a wide variety of big cats, a couple of black bears, lemurs and more. It is a level walking path made of mulch so wear decent shoes or you will have bark in your toes. Tour is about an hour and leaves the gate on time so plan to be there a few min early. There are porta potties before you go in for convenience (did not say for comfort!) they take credit cards but cash makes it much easier for them and you will get in quicker as that line moves faster. We could have watched the cats all day! Not bad for $10. From here you can go about 5 miles to Painted Mines Interpretive Park to have lunch and a hike. There are picnic tables there. This is on our "monthly To Do list"!!!
