Increible experiencia en Beijing y Xi'an
ALTAMENTE RECOMENDABLE!

Highly recommended for those of you who would like to dive a little deeper into the rich history, culture and traditions of Beijing/China. Would gladly use again upon future visits to China :)

Had an amazing day thanks to Sarah! We did everything in the itinerary all in good time, sarah would take photos and give loads of information about were we visited. Well worth the money as everything is sorted for you and she knows exactly we’re to go! Great opportunity for a day in Beijing!

I had just one day in Beijing where I was not working and I wanted to see the top attractions with a guide who could maximize what I got out of a single day. I also wanted to be sure that the tour was legit and that I would be safe because I was traveling alone (American female) in China on a week when the US had done some things that made the Chinese very hateful toward Americans. My tour with China Sunny Tour was a wonderful bright spot and a day that I will never forget - exceeding all my hopes and dreams for the experience. Sarah is the best guide I have experienced, in travel on 5 continents over a couple of decades. She organized a day, with my input, that enabled me to divide up our day with emphasis on the areas I had the most interest and then she led us through it perfectly. She gave me several choices of what order to do things in, what type of lunch to have, which direction to walk on the Wall, how far/long to walk on the Wall, etc. She had advice to offer as well. She was willing to start earlier than the described time to help avoid heat and crowds. Apparently the crowds at The Wall have increased recently, although by going early we were able to have an uncrowded experience even though it was Saturday. I will also say that the crowds at Forbidden City (late in the day) were virtually non-existent as well. I have so many pictures that have literally no one else in them - from both The Great Wall and from Forbidden City. The car was cool, clean, and comfortable and I enjoyed learning a tremendous amount from Sarah along the drive. So much better than a bus tour with a guide with a microphone!!! Sarah is so knowledgeable, personable, interesting, and in fact at the end of the day I felt like I now have a personal friend in China. While I was with her, moving through Mutianyu and Beijing, I felt very safe and did not experience the open hostility that I experienced from the Chinese during the rest of my multi-week stay in Asia. Sarah brought joy and insulation from any outside negativity. Sarah frequently volunteered to take pictures of me (and of course would take any additional ones I requested), and her photos came out great - she knew all the best angles and locations. At Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City, Sarah helped bypass lines to make the most of our time, and took me directly to the most interesting sections and told me wonderful stories and details that were not available to me in my previous research. I will literally never forget this trip. Sarah made this once-in-a-lifetime trip ideal. There is literally nothing I would change. Do not hesitate for a minute, or feel like you need to look for other options - this is the perfect way to see these highlights of Beijing and surrounds.

Sarah made my first day in Beijing a wonderful day that I will always remember. If I ever return to to Beijing (which I hope I will!) I will be booking a tour in with her straight away. She is warm, friendly, speaks excellent English and could answer all my questions, which is just one example of her extensive knowledge of Beijing and Chinese culture.
My flight into Beijing was delayed by 4.5 hours (and I was doing the tour upon landing in Beijing). I txt and emailed Sarah and she was incredibly responsive and we planned to still do the tour, but cut out the Great Wall due to time constraints.
Sarah picked me up from the hotel on time and arranged a driver with a very clean car. She took me to have lunch before sightseeing since I had just stepped off a plane. We went to a local place where she ordered for me taking into account my dietary requirements (gluten free).
After a delicious and authentic lunch, we walked to Tian’anmen square (5 minutes). After walking through the square, we approached the Forbidden City and went inside. Since Sarah is a licensed tour guide, we could skip the lines for tickets and at security, making for a much more relaxed experience.
It is hard to put the Forbidden City into words, but as Sarah said, it is important to see and do well, because it is such a pivotal point in Chinese culture. It was stunning and Sarah answered all my questions very well. She also knows all the good spots for a photo and will take them for you.
My favourite parts of the Forbidden City were down the back: the living quarters for the concubines, while less grand than the front - it feels more like a village, and the imperial garden - I loved its use of rock and coral. Sarah took me a to beautiful museum shop in the garden too.
After waking through the square and spending 3 hours in the Forbidden City (which is the size of a city, so don’t rush it!) I feel I have had the most exciting and stunning introduction to Chinese culture and history. And that is due to Sarah’s desire to give a tour with integrity. She does not rush through the sites and treats them with respect.
The Forbidden City was not very crowded at all and we could move around easily, due to it being winter, which made it more magical - just wrap up warm!
In summary, the tour is magical. Sarah is the best tour guide I’ve ever had and I will always remember my time with her!

Sarah is a fantastic tour guide of Beijing and during our tour shared her extensive knowledge about the city and all the places we visited. She is charming, good sense of humour, accommodating and really understands and willing to share her wisdom re the city of Beijing. Her English is great and conversation is easy.
Our two day tour included
- Day 1: Temple of Heaven - Sarah took us there first thing in the morning as this is when the place is most active especially with retirees who are exercising, dancing, singing and even acrobatics on bars – it was great to see local lifestyle & a buzzing atmosphere. Tip is to go there first.
- Day 1: Tiananmen Square -Sarah asked us if we would like to see Chairman Mao mausoleum as he was being moved to his birth city and it was one of the last chances to visit. She kindly minded our bags whilst we went through security even though she had to stand in the hot sun waiting for us but she did so with no complaint.
- Day 1: Forbidden City - Sarah shared a full history with us and every question we asked, she knew the answer to – she has such a breadth and depth of knowledge of a really outstanding tour guide. Please note Forbidden City was much bigger than imagined as we thought we were almost through and we were only actually about a third of the way through - be prepared to walk a lot. Sarah was very patient with us especially as we found it hot and she was always willing to take a break.
- Day 1: Summer Palace – it is near a beautiful lake and although we were a little tired, Sarah kept us entertained with all the history and entranced with the Dragon Lady’s role in history and took us on a boat ride across the lake back to the car. Tip is maybe to do Summer Palace on a separate day on city tour as the day was full on – about 17+km of walking.
-Day 2: Great Wall - Mutianyu section – Sarah took us to this less busy section (many of the Chinese go to Badaling as based on an historical Chinese poem/advice where each Chinese person should visit Badaling once in a lifetime). Sarah arranged for cable car trip. Please note you have two choices to visit wall: a gondola goes to higher section on wall as return trip and second choice is a two seater chairlift return or chairlift one way and toboggan down to a slightly lower section of the wall. Sarah kindly showed us the map and gave us the choice of which one we wanted.
Day 2: Ming Tombs – Sarah took us about an hour away to Ming Tombs.
On both days, Sarah recommended great restaurants for lunch and the food turned out to be delicious and easily ordered with some English on the menus. Anything we did not understand, Sarah was always willing to translate or explain. <
Sarah gave a wonderful and enjoyable tour tailored to all our specific requests. She even met us the afternoon we had arrived as we wanted to go to Kungfu show the first night before the tour. She pre-bought our tickets and even improved on the class of ticket we requested. She came to the hotel and came with us in the cab to the show – as we were early due to abnormal lack of traffic, she took us to a place to eat and then showed us into the theatre personally ensuring we were ok. She went above and beyond as this was not part of our tour. She recommended restaurants to us to eat as we stayed at Hilton Wanfujing and right next door was a shopping centre with floors 6&7 full of reasonably priced restaurants. We would never have known it was there if she had not told us.
We very highly recommend Sarah as a private tour guide (although she is experienced with larger groups as well) as she is well informed, calm, accommodating and very fluent in English. She made our time in Beijing easy, enjoyable, informative and memorable. If in Beijing call Sarah Zheng aka China Sunny Tours

Only a one-day tour of Beijing, but everything was perfect. The Great Wall, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square was plenty. The tour was private and included transportation from our hotel to each attraction site for a reasonable cost. Our tour guide was Sarah. Sarah speaks English very well and is very knowledgable about the attractions, offering clear explanations and detail of the history.
The only thing I would change is to book a 2-day or 3-day tour instead of just one-day. Thanks China Sunny Tour-Day Tours!!

My wife and I were recently married in Mid-November 2014 and decided to spend the first 4 days of our honeymoon in, of all places, Beijing China!
Thus, we emailed Sara inquiring about the three day tour package and she was very responsive to our emails and quoted us a very reasonable price. Our price included automobile transportation with a driver to all sites for 3 days, and all our tickets!
On the first day, we battled our jet lag with a wonderfully informative trip to Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City. Sara told us all sorts of interesting facts about both sites. We even had the rare opportunity to visit the body of Mau Zedong, which we highly recommend!
For lunch, we stopped at a place which was not too touristy but served really delicious dumplings and noodle dishes. After lunch we took a rickshaw ride through the Hutong section and even got to visit a local house. Our driver "Gao" was always waiting for us at the end of each site ready to take us to the next place including Hotel pick up and drop off.
Day 2 - Great Wall - was amazing! learned all sorts of interesting facts about the wall itself as well as the surrounding area. Ate at a place nearby - delicious. Traveler tip - Ask Sara to bring you to different styles of restaurants each day (ie. Sechuan, Cantonses, Eun Don, etc). On the way back we stopped at the bird's nest which was really cool!
Day 3 - Temple of Heaven was fascinating not only for the temple itself, but the neat park where Beijing's senior community can be seen exercising and socializing during the AM hours. Next stop was Summer palace, also learned some really cool facts about the Dragon Lady and stopped at an amazing restaurant nearby. In the afternoon (After being a little temple/museum'd "out"). We asked Sara to take us to a Tea House (per guide book recommendation) and she brought us to a really cool tea house which put on a demonstration for us where we sampled all sorts of Teas. Traveler tip - don't buy too much tea. We brought way too much home!
Overall, Sara is the type of guide that goes above and beyond to make sure you get the type of trip you are looking for. She even helped us exchange an item to a store that spoke no English and went with us to the Pearl market to help us find the "real deal" pearls. We "customized" our itinerary to include a mix of cultural items and visits to heritage sites which we highly recommend. Sara is the guide you need if you are a first time visitor to Beijing! Our time spent together over the course of 3 days allowed us to learn so much about China, its culture, its people and its history. Sara is the best! I was in Beijing for 3 days in December (28 - 30) 2014 with my boys. Sarah was our tour guide and she was excellent. Her English was easily understandable and she has excellent knowledge. She is flexible adjusting the schedule as needed. During our three days, we visited Tian'an Men Square, Forbidden City, JingShan Park, Great Wall, Olympic Park, Hutong and the Temple of Heaven. She also was able to accomodate a quick stop at a local market for some shopping. I would recommend Sarah as a guide to anyone going to Beijing.

I recently went for my first trip to Beijing with my wife. I had a stroke 5 years ago, so my mobility is not too good. Sarah was attending enough to factor that so her advice was to leave the hotel slightly earlier. The first stop is The Great Wall of China....when we reached there we were the first tourists to arrive.
Next stop was Tiannamen Square followed by Forbidden City. Throughout the journey, she will tell us the history of the place we were visiting. Her knowledge is amazing.
She never bring us to shops that she can earn commission if we shop there.
Her knowledge of the Forbidden City was astounding ....
Her fee included all entrance fee, car and driver which were reasonable.
She is friendly and can speak English and Mandarin
I would recommend her to friends who are looking a one day tour....

We booked Sarah due to her good rating on Tripadvisor and reasonable price. I emailed 6/7 different private tour guides on Tripadvisor and found that Sarah’s transparency about her charges, her prompt response and her attitude to be the best.
The reservation process
We were only in PEK for a short weekend trip and allocated a Saturday to see the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. I called Sarah and then arranged everything via email. We agreed to meet at 8am at the Hyatt where we were staying and Sarah and the driver arrived promptly and we were off.
Great Wall
The drive to the GW was long – over an hour and Sarah chatted along the way entertaining us and filling us in on history, Beijing life etc. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day. Sarah arranged tickets for entrance and the cable car – it was a truly fuss-free experience the entire day. We had a friend who suffered vertigo so Sarah offered to stay behind with her while my partner and I climbed the wall which was very steep at the last couple of towers. We stayed there for about 2.5 hours and felt we had seen everything. The section of the wall we went to was Mutianyu which is further from Beijing but because we got there early at around 9.30am, there wasn’t a lot of people and it was very enjoyable. I had previously been to Badaling and it’s so crowded that it’s quite dangerous around some sections of the wall.
Beijing Liulaogen Dawutai Restaurant
Before our trip I told Sarah that we were craving Northern Chinese cuisine and Sarah to her credit took the time and effort to hunt one down for us. It was a little trying getting there but we made it there in the end. It was a pity the food was poor but Sarah and her driver moved mountain and earth to get us there and we are very thankful especially in the awful Beijing traffic – it took us 2 hours to get from the Wall to the restaurant. The de-tour did cost us a lot of time so we gave up Tiananmen Square.
Forbidden City
After a rushed lunch we sped towards the Forbidden City to make the final entrance. We go there in time to make it through the gates and Sarah had her tour badge so she could get our tickets via a fast tracked line. Unfortunately because we had little time left, we just managed to see the main part of the FC but we were satisfied. Sarah remembered that we wanted to take some photos in costumes and for RMB 30 per costume, we got dress up as the Emperor and Empress. It was lots of fun and I highly recommend it. The day wrapped up around 5pm and the driver dropped us off at our hotel. We tipped both Sarah and the lovely driver who was very safe and drop steadily the entire day.
We were exhausted but had a great day and would recommend Sarah to any of our friends if they are in Beijing. She knows exactly what she is doing and where to go. My only tip is to make sure you allocate enough time. For us, we only had 1 day so we were restricted in what we can do but Sarah is reasonably priced and I understand she has taken families around for a few days at a time. Thanks again for the great service.
