After reading a review online we booked in for a afternoon tea , for when our family came to stay. Nanny's Cafe is based in the clubhouse of the clubhouse and is a lovely comfortable room with large windows giving great views over the course. It was a hot day outside but the room was lovely and cool. Even though our earlier walk hadn't taken as long as we thought and we arrived 30 minutes early we were warmly welcomed and taken to our table all laid out with beautiful whilst they continued to prepare our tea. When they delivered it to our table what a feat it was. Two large platefuls of chunky sandwiches with lovely fresh bread and tasty fillings serves with salad and crisps. Then another plates with homemade scotch eggs and cheese and bacon pastry wraps, delicous. Finally three large cake stands were brought in laden with sweet and savoury scones, meringues, cheesecakes, and a selection of other cakes and sweet treats all baked fresh that day. It was fantastic and as we starved ourselves all day for the tea we had a good go at eating it all , but even our healthy appetites couldn't manage it all , but we were given several boxes so we could take them away for later. It was one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had and great value . You don't have to play golf to visit the clubhouse and they serve lunches and cakes all day . Highly recommend and we will be visiting again soon. You do need to pre book the afternoon teas.

Kerry at Nanny’s loves what she does! And it shows!! Beautiful, delicious food, breakfast lunch and afternoon teas! The cakes are amazing! Even if you don’t golf, drop in here and you won’t be disappointed, a warm welcome awaits as was our experience. GF also catered for!! (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday).

Popped into Nanny’s at Bonar Bridge Ardgay Club for coffee. Lovely. Fabulous cakes on offer and a good menu. Very reasonable. Would recommend.

I had read some decent reviews about the course and so decided to stop in enroute home from a trip to Sutherland. Very disappointed in the condition of the course and this is not worthy of a return trip for me. Despite being a SGU course I was given a blank look when requesting the courtesy of the usual SGU discount and, whilst reasonable enough, I couldn’t help feeling somewhat cheated at the green fee for a low average course.

We have played at Bonar Bridge on several occasions. As always, the welcome is warm and friendly. The Clubhouse offers a range of home made snacks and meals. Tasty, generously portioned and great value for money. The 9 hole golf course is a credit to the green keeper’s skills and professionalism. Beautifully presented greens set in stunning countryside. Plenty of challenges to suit players of all abilities. Tranquil, scenic and a true joy. Thankyou again for making us welcome once more. A great golfing venue and experience.

This is a very quiet spot, the nearest town with many pubs, restaurants & shops is Tain about a 30 mins car drive or the bus stops outside the village Post Office.

A lovely 9 hole course set in beautiful surroundings. At £20 per round, £25 for a day ticket this is excellent value. Put your driver away, you need to plan your way round this course, its tight and a straight drive is needed to avoid being in the rough. Excellent greens and fairways maintained by a lady greenkeeper. Views of Loch Migdale can be seen from several of the holes and mountain ranges from others. Wildlife in abundance including deer, buzzards and the ponds are alive with pond life. Excellent food can be found at the 19th from April to the beginning of October. The locals are friendly and very helpful. Well worth visiting and with no booking you can turn up at any time for a game but worth phoning first in case their is a match on but they will try and accommodate you even then

I managed to sneak in a twilight game of golf here on a recent holiday and though I lost 5 balls in the course of playing just 1 circuit of the course, owing to the punishing heather which seemed to swallow up most of my errant drives, I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable, if slightly frustrating golfing experiences of my life. The recent dry weather (and my tendency to snap pull) made it almost impossible to drive & stay on any fairway and it soon became a battle of wills between me & the course as to whether I was going to be able to finish the 9 holes before my supply of golf balls ran out.
Prices here are a bit steep for 9 holes during the daytime (£20) but the day rate (£25) and the post 6pm rate (£10) are much better value. The local membership seemed very friendly and the club benefits from a very welcoming bar/clubhouse.

We had a couple of great lunches at the golf club which were excellent value and (regardless of the success of the round of golf) really enjoyed by all. We have to say that the catering staff and the golf club members who witnessed our rather unique holiday golf were so friendly and welcoming. As a non-golfer I wouldn’t normally put a golf club on my lunch outing list, but this one is an absolute exception. Thank you all and see you on our next trip up North!

Not the best of weather but the views were fantastic and the course was in very good condition for this time of year. The staff and food in the club house was excellent.
