This review is based on a fabulous hour spent on the vast Dunnet beach.On route to Dunnet Head & John o Groats make sure you call into visitor centre car park,a short walk down to the beach.

Very informative, helpful member of staff ,interesting displays. Handily located next to CAMC site, which would be good and if educational value for families.

we have been to Seadrift many times over the years,there are binoculars available there to let you view the bay,loads of information about local species and also about local places to visit.There is a very good childrens area too.

Eerste week van aug 2015 met een grote camper geweest.
Nieuw. ruim. vriendelijk. alles aanwezig. Goede stroom voorziening. Nieuwe douches. Heel zuiver. 1 min punt geen WiFi. Beste camping van onze vakantie. Direct aan een zandstrand.

This small visitor centre is located above the Dunnet Bay caravan site office, but has its own access from the free car park at Dunnet beach. opening hours were restricted to 2 - 5 pm when we were there in June, but in July and August, it is open 10.30 to 5 pm. It closes Sunday and Wednesday.
The centre has lots of information on the coast and wildlife in the area and has optics available for looking along the coast and out to sea. It is particularly good for educating children and has plenty of activities to keep them busy. There are skeletons from various whales and sharks that have washed up on this coast over the years.
Outside is a decked terrace for good views across the beach.
