This a beautiful park, were you can have a picnic meal right next to the water. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the park or on the beach. We drove all the way there and wish we would have known the dogs were not permitted. Frustrating.

VIsited the park on an overcast weekend during early June. Few people around, lots and lots of picnic tables and parking available. Peaceful and pleasant park and look forward to returning next time I'm out that way.

My husband and I tent camped at Sasquatch Park, Lakeside campground on Deer Lake. The Hick's Lake campground is definitely more "Lakeside" and if we ever return here, we'd like to camp there. The campground is fine, it's just very primitive. The toilets stank... you felt like you had to get up early to beat the flies. The campfire rings do have grills over them for cooking, but they are so high that you have to burn up a lot of firewood to even get water to boil. We were shocked that the lowest price of firewood was $12 for a few logs, and went up from there. We arrived late the first night and found out they wouldn't be around to even sell firewood until the afternoon. Seemed like they came by twice - after lunch and in the evening. We ended up driving back into town and bought some from a local person for $5 a bundle. So, buy before you arrive at the campground. The campsite was neat and clean for our arrival, and I did appreciate that the park ranger asked us the next morning about our night as our neighbors were loud and she'd asked them several times to quiet down. Reassuring that someone was actually monitoring quiet hours. On the whole, I'd still say it's a nice place to camp, their bathrooms just need some major updating and the firewood situation is pretty expensive and inaccessible.

Great for family picnics. Beach area and boat launch. Soak up the sun and scenery. We were there earlier in the day so it hadn't gotten super busy yet. Day area with picnic benches, washrooms, and grassy field.

We have had the worst camping experience ever. Wherever we go, rangers seem abuse their authority. It was the same in Whie Pine Beach, same in Hicks Lake, and Cultus lake. From my point of view, these poor rangers must go through extensive traning and a college degree must be made mandatory!

Camped at Bench Campground double site DB27. The site was large but ground was uneven with a deep dip In the middle which filled up after a rainfall. Make sure to dig trenches around your tent. Bathrooms are cleaned every morning. Fire wood was easy to purchase. Camp was noisy that week due to lots of children but everyone seems to be asleep by 9pm which was nice. Close to everything. Hiking to a Lake nearby for a 10 minute walk. Would visit again. Enjoyed our stay a lot.

We camp there for the past 40 years. Rain or shine, always good time. We were there end of October, nice sunny days, cool nights. Always peaceful no matter what. Dear lake has a more quiet crowd, more kids. It is safe place for kids to have fun. Service great. Good for long walks, enjoy nature, relax, rewind. Nice walk to the river on left side of the lake, about an hour. Hope we able to go many times more. On the way home spend an hour or so at the hot pool in town.

This campsite has no hook ups. The road to the campsite is very bumpy. If you are pulling an RV, you may need to weave around the potholes. We were there on Thanksgiving Long weekend. It was fully booked, but a lot of "no shows". We did not book a reservation and took a chance that there would be a site available. There were plenty of room when we got there. We feel that it should be first come first so that everyone has equal chance of getting a spot. We were a short walk to a beautiful scenic lake.

This park is very close to Harrison hot spring and nice lakes to go fishing, swimming or boating. But no major good hiking place near by.
We camped in middle of September and all the sites were full.
We had 1 group was very loud till early in the morning and that was very bad for camping since we came down here to have quiet family time.

I've done the Harrison Grind on my own. Oh boy, what a cool trail... the forest there is magical, so green, so fresh, so beautiful and the view of the Fraser Valley, the Harrison Lake is amazing as well... it's a hard work but it definately pays out.
