Excellent museum and well worth the visit
sep. de 2021
My husband and I visited this amazing and interesting museum on Sunday 26th Sept 2021. Well worth the £5 each charge to get in. So much information and so many displays with lots of facts and memories from local people.

Takes a good couple of hours to explore and get around everything and then time for a cuppa and cake at the tea room on site. Helpful and informative staff and volunteers.

Well worth a visit and will go back again.

A must visit museum
sep. de 2021
This is an amazing museum with a fantastic collection of exhibits and information . History is brought alive and heroes honoured with so many personal stories . We all owe a debt of gratitude to those who served and perished to preserve our future and this museum does exactly that .

The whole site is kept to a very high standard , lovely grounds , clean toilets , covid safety and a very nice tea room .

The staff who are all volunteers do a fantastic job and are very friendly , knowledgeable and helpful . Luckily for us all we have such people to provide us with museums such as this one .

Definitely well worth a visit. The volunteer staff were very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all treasures on display. The out side area and buildings were full of a fascinating collection of photos, displays and personal stories of the very brave men and women who served, fought and died from the airfield and the area beyond. We particularly enjoyed the displays relating to 617 Sqn Dambusters and to the Market Garden operation who trained in the local area. All this was topped off with a magnificent piece of homemade cake and a cuppa. We will certainly return for another visit.

Amazing museum - a credit to the volunteers
sep. de 2021 • Amigos
A hidden jem in Lincolnshire - stumbled across this as we rode past, called in as it was open and ended up spending a couple of hours in the various exhibits.

A lot of time & attention has gone into this volunteer run museum, based at the old RAF Woodthorpe. A real credit to those involved.

Had a drink & cake in the cafe, very well priced & delicious cake!

We’ll be back again as we didn’t finish it all and at £5 per adult is very well priced.

Just a stones throw from RAF Coningsby & we were treated to the Dakota flying too.

Well done to all involved at Thorpe Camp

Treasured history
ago. de 2021 • Pareja
We were welcomed by 2 gentlemen in uniform who were very helpful. The original camp buildings are packed with artefacts, information and peoples stories linked in so many ways with the history of the site. Topped off with a decent cuppa and a cracking piece of Victoria sponge (homemade) we’re very glad we visited and will be back in the future.

A piece of wartime history
ago. de 2021 • Pareja
The centre may only be open for 4 hours on a Sunday but it took nearly all that time to explore all the exhibits. Re-enactors added to the ambience. If you like the history of a Lincolnshire wartime airbase this is well worth a visit. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will return.

We were lucky enough to find Thorpe camp on a recent stay at Tattershall & what a find it was!
We had an amazing few hours here, the exhibits are so interesting but what really makes this place are the people.
They are so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and made us feel so welcome whilst taking the time to share their knowledge.
I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Thorpe Camp
