Great spot! The weather was not but sitting outside under shelter was good. One of us (3 seniors) was too cold for the air conditioning indoors. We are all vertically challenged but sat comfortably on the bar height stools. The staff was very helpfully, gave us samples of what was available before we ordered. Very tasty and well chilled beer. No snacks but that is not what we were in for. My son and his wife had dropped in with their 3 year old and 10 month old a few days before and enjoyed their visit also.

Loved this brew pub. Amazing staff serving amazing beer. Great selection of beers. Tasting is available. We had a pint each then bought some tins to take home. Loved the artwork on the labels.

Great Staff, Great Beer, Great View.
A must anytime you are in Kincardine.
Always look forward to their rotating taps to see what they have been working on.

With no kitchen to prepare food this is a beer only experience. The fresh craft beer is tasty though and well worth a stop if passing by.

Beautiful vista looking out at Lake Huron. Enjoy a frosty delicious craft beer brewed in the building. Friendly staff that love to talk beer.

I admit, I dig the explosion of micro breweries in Ontario and Grey Matter is another delight. Any place that welcomes kids and dogs is good by me. The beer here is good too. This space used to be a low level department store for years and the new incarnation of this space is great. I liked the IPA very much and my daughter the Lager. And you wanna bring a take out Fish and Chips from The Erie Bell around the corner...fine by them.

This little brewery, which opened just over a year ago in Kincardine, Ontario, is a great addition to our town. The beer is really good, especially the Mission to Mars, our favourite. The bar staff is amazing and even remember what beer you order. Dogs and children are welcome, and you can bring in food to accompany your beer. What could be better than that? There is a beautiful view overlooking the lake.

My family and I attended the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band Parade at 8 pm on 6/22/2019 and we wanted to drop by a pub for a drink before the festivities. The Grey Matter Beer Company staff were excellent. They made great recommendations for drinks that we could try. All in all, we had a great time.
I wanted to point out that one staff member noticed my wife liked the art in the bar and while we were outside enjoying the parade, he came over to give her some stickers. I thought that was a nice touch. Thank you.

Sorry. Unimpressed.
After coming there from an hour’s drive to just see the place, we were disappointed that they had no food because it all had cheese and there was NO cheese, thus we were told that there was no food. The staff was nice, he said order a pizza and eat it there. Well you can read my mind on that.
Also thought that a sampler flight of beers at $17 was a bit high in comparison to other places I have been. Atmosphere was fine and the brewery piece was quite cool to look down on. But the experience was not there for us.

Nice, modern, local craft beer in the middle of Kincardine. Location and back view is nice. Great pairing with food next door.
