Clip and climb is a must! I booked this to try and encourage my 8 year old and build her confidence. She abso loved it! It’s well laid out, clear instructions and what can I say about the staff - could not be anymore friendly and helpful! kelvinhall your clip and climb staff are a credit to you. Would thoroughly recommend for an hour of fun

Only thing I would say is it has the potential to get very busy at capacity with the 20 person slot however I only booked at last minute and knew it was a quiet slot so this was great

Brilliant fun for my 3 grandchildren. Youngest at 5 years old wasn't so keen at first but with a little encouragement from one female staff member, he was climbing to the top on his first climb. All staff this day were friendly, encouraging and cheering all the kids on. Will definately be back.

Really disappointing Clip n Climb, not cheap £10 each and extra £2 for leap of faith. Video is really misleading as the small print does state it is not the Kelvin Hall venue but my kids did not notice this and were taken aback by how small the area was and activities they had seen were missing. It gets really busy because as well as the climbers, parents/guardians have to assist youngsters with the clipping mechanisms as it's a do it yourself place. Staff did help but seemed pretty disinterested in the customers. There were about 12 climbing walls with harnesses, 2 free climbing walls and a stairway to heaven. Much prefer the Clip n Climb at Ravenscraig, Greenock. Won't be back.

I took my toddler to the new soft play this afternoon. It is divided into two sections (with no barriers between them), one for children 2-5 and the other for 5-12. But no one warned me of this as we came in, and I did not see the small-print signs (as I was staring down, watching my toddler!). So having not been warned or seen the one sign, my toddler quickly climbed up the 5-12 section with me right behind, but got ahead of me and went down the slide and rolled head over heels the entire way down a huge slide. He could have been seriously injured or broken his neck, but fortunately only had minor bruises. The tables are also in front of the soft play areas, which means that if your child is not in the immediate front part of the soft play area, you can't see them, so you can't sit down at the tables if you're on your own. There were also loads of staff, but no one supervising the soft play area. I was so disappointed because we love Kelvin Hall and playgym, and I was really hoping that soft play would be a fun and safe experience.

Great soft play, with areas for different age ranges. Took my 18 month old mid week and he loved it. 90 minute pass which is plenty of time. Lots of food and drinks available to buy, plenty of tables and toilets brand new and spotless. We’ll definitely be back.

When I was a boy around 60 plus years ago we always came to the Kelvin Hall for the Christmas Carnival. We took the tram to Govan Cross then the Subway to Partick.
Always a treat that we looked forward to.
Brings back many good memories to see it again across the road from Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

Tried the new softplay with friends and our young children and pros are that it's cheap compared to most softplays, very clean and bright, lots of toilets, cafe is average priced and tasty. Cons are that the staff on the desk let our children run through the exit barrier without us being present (we were a little behind them as we were fixing buggies etc). Don't think we will return but hey we tried it.

I came to visit with my teenagers, and it was a huge disappointment. It cost me £18 in train fares, £30 to get in and we were out in 20 minutes. What a rip off! The T Rex is impressive, but other than that there are only a few interactive things for the younger kids to play with and a shop. Dippy the dinosaur was in Kelvingrove which is free to go into and you can spend a whole day there. Also quite sad that the price will have prevented many local families from being able to visit.

We came to visit TRIX the T-REX which was fantastic. Pricey to get in for what it was, but so glad we came and saw her. There were interactive learning experiences for all ages, and lots of fun. I saw a few sports orientated things going on in the other areas of Kelvin Hall, like circus school and kids doing lots of fitness and activites, so it seems like a great place all round.

Was a bit shocked that it was £40 for a family ticket. Glasgow is home to some of the poorest areas in the UK so the price will stop a lot of people going. We bought our tickets and were not even pointed in the right direction - a lot of people were wandering round trying to find the entrance and the staff were not really helpful. The exhibition was superb, lots for the kids to do. Trix is amazing and the story of how they found her is fascinating. All in all a very educational 90-mins, but pricey.
