If you like gin, this is a wonderful worthwhile experience! What are the best parts of attendance at Belfast Artisan Gin School?
1. Your warm and welcoming hosts, Jo and Robert, greet you with the offer of a gin beverage of your choice, the first of many 😂
2. You listen to a concise tutorial about gin making and then choose your ingredients and pick a name for your gin.
Pay close attention and don’t overdo the spice!
3. You sit back and relax with more heavenly ginny liquids, and have a bit of craic with the other students.
4. You bottle your gin and affix the label.
5. You receive your certificate of completion and your very own bottle of gin in a nice brown paper bag.
You will receive an instruction to wait at least a week, ideally a month (alas I don’t remember exactly) before you taste your creation.
6. Sure that adequate time has passed, you open your bottle and taste Spring Meadowlands Gin for the first time.
7. You sigh with delight and send an email to Jo: Dear Jo, please send me another bottle made with my recipe, I await your invoice etc etc,

My husband and I visited the gin school back in May. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. During the experience we were told about the unique reordering feature for your personalized gin. We enjoyed our gin so much my husband decided to surprise me with a bottle for my birthday but this part of the service was extremely disappointing. The bottle that I was received is as pictured, an unmarked cloudy gin with sediment!!!! Gin school apologised and promised a replacement bottle but over 2 weeks went by and we received no bottle nor any communication from the gin school. In the end we just asked for a refund. Overall the gin school is fantastic and I would highly recommend it but the reordering feature felt more of a gimmick than a committed part of the gin school experience.

Had a great afternoon learning all about gin, cocktails and more with Jo and Robert. I got the Shared experience as a birthday present and my wife and myself were kept well supplied with drinks from the excellent Belfast Artisan Distillery range of gin, vodka and gin liqueurs while we made our own version of a London Dry Gin. I would highly recommend this unique experience for work functions, parties, etc but also if you want something different for visitors from abroad as it shows Norn Iron at our best, friendly, welcoming and innovative. Fingers crossed the guys can get the tours going at the Distillery so we can walk home next time!

We visited the gin school on a hen party weekend and it was just utter amazing. Both Jo and Robert are amazing hosts and made it so much fun for us. So much fun, interesting, lots of laughs, giggles and drinks. It was really special. Jo went above and beyond helping us get transport and even decorating the Venue for us. Can’t thank you both enough. Would 1000000% recommend visiting the gin school. It was an awesome day!!! Thank you!!! X #potpourri

Fantastic experience and well worth the money!
Very knowledgeable and friendly team that guide you through the whole experience to create your own personalised gin. This is definitely a hidden Belfast gem!

Amazing experience!!! So much fun and you walk away with a bottle of bespoke personalised gin. Jo gives you a fun history of gin and the distilling process while making sure you have a drink in hand. A combination of a science experiment and your favourite night out! Jo and Robert (one of the founders) chat to you about what's best to add and make sure you create the perfect gin for your taste. Highly recommend! I got it for a Christmas present but would be perfect for an event (think hen parties or birthdays). So much fun!!

We visited Belfast for a long weekend break with some friends and I have to say that our visit to the Belfast Artisan Gin School was probably the highlight of my trip! We had such a fun and interesting afternoon here, learning lots about gin and distilling our own unique bottle - our host, Joe, was really informative and I loved all of the 5 gin and gin liquor drinks we were offered while we 'worked' on our recipes! I'd highly recommend a visit and it's something I'd definitely like to do again the next time I'm in Belfast.

OMG - if you ever thought you might like to craft your own gin… this is the place to come. Have spent the best afternoon with 3 girlfriends enjoying the experience of the Belfast Artisan Gin School. We enjoyed perfect serves, gin cocktails, martinis “stirred not shaken” (they explain the difference) and a Prosecco gin liqueur to finish off, plus a 2 bottles of our own crafted gin.
As there were 4 of us we signed up to 2 duo sessions, which meant that we shared the crafting experience, ending up with 2 standard bottle personally crafted gin. Challenge now is we need to wait 3 to 7 days for the gin to mature. Throughly recommend the experience and if back up this way, we will be making a return visit.
