Went with friend and the kids
Was a fun place, kids enjoyed the pony rides and feeding the animals
Staff were extremely approachable and certainly made us feel welcome and certainly went above and beyond
Will definitely come back over and over
Thanks for such a good day and chat (from the lady with with purple hair)

We loved staying here. We slept over for one night and wanted to stay longer. Kids loved milking cows and the staff were so lovely. We arrived after the part closed but they gave us a private tour ( great in COVID). The room was amazing. Kids loved playground. Goats so cute. In morning kids collected eggs from chickens to cook. We helped round up the cow for milking and got to milk it. Also fed ducks. Staff lit a bonfire at night to toast marshmallows. Games room great. WE LOVE ANIMAL LAND!

It was an awesome visit and an awesome stay at Animal Land that I recently did. The kids had farm walking around and soak in the atmosphere and breath in fresh air.
Kids enjoy feeding the deers, sheep, ducks, milking the cow, riding a pony and a tractor, carrying a bunny etc. We also booked a place to stay over and it was a lovely quiet farm stay just beside the farm. One of the best experience ever for sure!

Some of the animals were in poor condition; One horse had significant (what looked to be) mange(?), ducks wandering around with patchy bald spots (mites?). Pig pen required significant maintenance as it looked like it hadn't had basic cleaning in some time, extremely smelly+++ which is not normal for a pig enclosure. Basic animal husbandry which would be expected on a hobby farm had not taken place (maybe because of covid?) not a representation of how a farm should be run, disappointed, and concerned for the animal welfare there. Surprised at the cost ($15pp) for such an average experience.

Thankyou, we had a fantastic day with our four year old.
Our guide was Donna and she was great. Heaps of kid and animal interaction and she even learnt the kids names. Making sure all the kids got plenty of time riding the pony, holding the baby chicks and feeding the goats and sheep.
Highly recommended, great day with all the animals and fantastic value.

My four kids had plenty to do with all the well planned activities in the farm, from feeding the ducks, catching the chicken, lots more feeding of the sheep, pigs; milking the cow, handling the little ducklings and chicks. The accommodation in the farm is clean and we collected our eggs from the farm for our scrambled eggs.

Kids had a great time with new experiences and learning about animals. Viewing them in their natural habitat and getting an opportunity to interact with them was really good. We will definitely be going back.

We visited Animal Land on a brisk Melbourne Winters Day and was not disappointed. It is quite expensive, averages about $18 per person which is alot with a few children, however if you manage that as, say a "special Day Out", you can make the most of the Day.
I would take my own sandwiches and few drinks, as choices for food are limited, and you could have a small picnic in the playground when you have finished the tour.
The children loved the animals, especially feeding the ducks, kids seem to love feeding animals. I guess for us the pony ride was disappointing, after a long wait, it lasted 45 seconds, and while there was a long queue maybe 2-3 ponies would of help many disappointed children and cranky parents. Milking the cow, was chaotic, everyone was crammed into a little space so if you were at the back, the kids just saw alot of bums from adults in front of them, and not much cow and milk. However two small negatives but loads of positives, clean facilities, pleasant staff, loads of ducks, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, rabbits and a nice playground.

I really don’t like leaving crappy reviews, but this place needs some adjustment. Arrived but no hospitality and no direction. Asked in cafe where the tour begins and told the girls would meet everyone at the playground. Future visitors take note. First stop is the pregnant cow that cannot be milked (for obvious reasons). Has the farm only got one cow? We will never know. Next stop is the barn with cute rabbits, chickens and ducks, this part was ok. Onto the overweight unhappy pony for a ride. I believe that due to the lack of things to do, the pony ride is an added option. Pony rides have no place anymore. At this point we thought it would be prudent to ask our host some questions about the farm and animals. Unfortunately she had no idea. We didn’t bother with the tractor ride as you can see the few animals they have from the road. The advertisement states that it is a premier learning experience. My child learnt more from her grandparents in two minutes about a working farm, than she would have spending two weeks at this place. Do yourself a favour, search well and save yourself a bit of cash. Maybe stick to Collingwood children’s farm.

Gidday, the farm tour includes pony rides, tractor rides, collecting eggs, feeding ducks, nursing animals and lots more, guest who stay love taking time to have an open fire outdoors at night, spend time in the games room, play on the play ground and just explore.
are you looking for day tours or admission prices to soverign hill etc.?

Hi. Sorry I did not see this earlier. I don't think it will be a problem to visit without advance notice as the place appeared to be able to cope with large group. However, it is always better to call in advance, so that the Farm can prepare for your visit, and make sure that the right people are there to host you.
