Great educational and interesting village, volunteers really made it come alive and added so much to the visit, especially the General Store and Tain displays. Bye, gone glimpse of life, maybe a simpler time, but worthwhile, and what spawned a generation of development. Fron the General Store, Jail, hospital, trains, barber shop, and many more beautifully restored and displayed. Model train exhibit is any train enthusiasts dream for sure, and the volunteers just make it special while having a great time. Plenty of parking and $5 each entry fee is well spent and worthwhile.

Great historical education. I enjoyed walking around the area and looking at and reading about these old buildings. I would suggest calling to inquire about events which may be occurring. We did not know about the afternoon event and so, left early to avoid traffic. I recommend seeing the train display. Very enjoyable trip.

We toured the Grove while attending an RV Rally which was held next door. The entire site is a step back in time. Learning the history behind Cracker Barrel was priceless and they have the best and lowest cost General Store I have ever visited.

First of all no signage to tell you where to drive on the property to arrive at the destination. It costs $5.00 for self-tour but if using a debit card or credit card they charge $10.00.🤦‍♀️😳🙄 No post cards or souvenirs sold in the store on the property. Was asked is that your car ? I parked in front of the store and was told you’ll have to move it. Mind you further away!! She said someone opened the gate too much and shouldn’t let cars through. I was EXTREMELY disappointed since I planned to really enjoy the Historical buildings and history.

A very well restored, rebuilt, town depicting life in Wilson county. An inspiration to see the hard work of the staff and volunteers to keep the place up and running. Located on the site of the fair grounds, it is a real gem to visit. We practically had the entire village to ourselves but apparently that would not be the case in August during the fair.

This place is so cool. Fun learning experience. Everyone we meet here were volunteers and so friendly. The train museum is newly opened and so much fun!! It brought the kid out of us. I know children would love it. We plan to return to some of the special days they hold here.
