We come here often. Such a beautiful place. Nice and cool in the evenings especially under the trees. Good place to let your kiddos run around until exhausted! LOL!

Be sure to leave after dusk - the trooper who patrols this place doesn’t care if your vehicle is still parked, he’ll lock the gate real good!

I walked from Marine Park along the Waterfront Renaissance Trail to Wintler Community Park and back. This brought me through a wetland area and along the Columbia River for some great views of both of these areas. This is where the 5 mile Renaissance trail ends. The trail connects Wintler Community Park, Marine Park, and Esther Short Park by a paved path.

Marine Park has a boat landing that has the Henry Kaiser Shipyard Memorial next to it. There is a parking fee at the boat landing area. $5 per car. So you might like to just park at the Marine Park parking lot and just walk to the boat landing. it's not all that long of a walk.

Wintler Community park is a 12.5 acre beach park and is the only city park with public water access. The park has benches and tables, restrooms, walking paths, and beach access. The is a parking area should you wish to drive into the park instead of walking to it like I did.

Nice park along the river anchoring the east end of the Vancouver Renaissance Trail. Good trail, paved and maintained, following the river. Park has some tables for eating. Bathrooms that can be hit and miss on maintenance. Nice river access if you want to walk into river and good access for pups that want to play in the water.

This is a very popular park, so we limit our visits to weekdays only, due to the crowds and limited parking. There is a charge for parking until after Labor Day. There is a nice beach, but I would wear river sandals as there is broken glass at times. We enjoy walking along the river on the concrete walkway, as we are seniors and don't do well on rough trails. We also enjoy just watching river traffic, planes landing at the airport, and bird watching. Judging by the debris, it seems like a less desirable place to be a night.

Great park with access to the Columbia River. Not available on the Oregon side because of the friends of the Columbia which restricts access. Nice parking, wonderfully kept good for a cold swim or a sunny picnic.

This could be a nice place, huge beach, nice walkway, nice restrooms, picnic area, all right on the Columbia River. I used to bring my dog here frequently and not once was I there that there was not an obvious drug deal going down in the parking lot. Did not feel unsafe, but regardless of day or time, there was business being transacted.

Dropped in to this park for a quick cool down (on a 100 degree day!) and it was perfect. Small parking lot, but just a quick jaunt down to the water. Not very quiet, lots of families, boats, jet skis, and trains, but good out of the way park

I pass by the sign on SR-14 daily and finally decided to make the turn on a whim... the park is hidden behind some houses and a badly paved road in need of fixing, but if you can survive that, there is a great place for a picnic, swimming or just scenery watching... Parking is Very, very limited, so know that in advance...

Lovely place to watch the Columbia River and have a picnic lunch. There is public access to the water, sandy beaches, restrooms, picnic tables and benches as well as a wide paved path surrounded by greenery and many trees. We enjoyed watching the pleasure boats, planes landing at PDX and barges moving goods on the Columbia. Off season there is no charge. I imagine during the summer it would be quite busy.
