The place has new owners, and a new name. I visited, but found that there was no welcome. There were several people there, but none made any attempt to speak to me. Where before this place was stocked with paintings, it now has a section with old antiques. It seemed crammed, crowded, and the old items added sat oddly among the pictures that remained from the previous business here.

FREE to enter. It is great to see a really BIG Sam McLarnon watercolour, and interesting to see several of his early watercolours. They have different, bolder colours, and blocky rocks, reminding me of the style of (very handsome) classic tourist posters. You can also see and compare some of his oil paintings here, all in one room. I also loved the fiery skies on Hamilton Sloane’s painting of Drain’s Bay, and the vivid contrast in Gregory Moore’s painting of roosters.

The owner is extremely friendly, in spite of the fact that I’m obviously not going to be buying anything! He’s a very knowledgeable collector, so do have a chat about whichever pieces you like.

What a wonderful display of different art to find in Larne! It's always very interesting to see what's on display from many famous local artists, contemporary and from the past. The owner, Mr. McIlwaine is always very accommodating, he'll go and fetch a painting from elsewhere if you need to see it, or lend out ones he owns to exhibitions for free. He's very nice. If you appreciate art, go to the corner of Main Street and Agnew Street to visit.

I do enjoy visiting this place. The owner is always very friendly, even though he knows I’ll never buy anything! Despite this, he is very happy to talk about all the pictures in the gallery, and the artists who painted them. While there I've seen him chatting away to other visitors just the same way.

If you’re a tourist who loves the Antrim Coast Road, or the Glens of Antrim do call in here. Why? You’ll see how a range of the best local artists going back many decades have seen this beautiful land. Almost everything in the gallery is by Irish artists. Landscape and seascape pictures make up most of the collection on show, but there are also some stunning animal portraits. A small painting of a hare by Nigel Artingstall had me gasping. Every whisker, every strand of fur seems to have been lovingly painted in. There’s also a great sepia tone tractor, and quirky comedy works. Well worth a visit.

They have a lot of old fashioned landscape paintings by some well known local artists. Some horse pictures also. The place is small but bright and there are a great many pictures all around. The owner is very friendly and didn't mind at all that I was only in there to have a look.
