Fantastic location, amazing views, cosy lodge. Everything very clean and shiny. Food excellent, but very traditional, expect vegetables you've never heard of. Great staff but expect to be given the sales pitch regarding homegrown produce like coffee, kithul etc.Más

Dear Sir & Madam, We wish to comment on the above as follows: “Hard beds”: that majority of our guests prefer little bit harder than too soft mattress damaging their back of the body: this was guests requirements. If soft mattress required it too could be fulfilled with the gests suggestions. We wish to clarify that Chaminda has a role of “butler” in our hotel and as any butler he will take care of guests for all their demand as a steward for serving in the restaurant and guiding them in the field and trekking, that is all in his duties ; then others local staff, total 19 workers in this field of Maussawa work for the satisfaction of guests also : 3 women Nandani, Pratma and Bandaramanike are the cooking persons, inspirated by the “Chef” Mr Shelley Abeyagoonesekera from quality of restoration of 4 stars hotels with inspiration of Slow-Food movement : the good, the clean and the just, maximum organic and local vegetable and products, some processed by Kusuma, Production Manager for processing the food, Dewatissa, plucking the Ktul treackle for exemple and different persons for plucking tea, coffee, chocolate, vegetables… etc… for the restaurant, Managed by Mr Shelley Abeyagoonesekera Managing Director (between 3) ; Chaminda’s duty is to insure the service in the restaurant and serving drinks on balconies and terraces on any requirement from guests, Chaminda is not the Chef, sorry, neither a cooker, neither a Manager, he is a butler. Of course he will bring in office any details of consumption from guests to the account persons responsible for all administrative part : Mr Gnanamuthu and Mrs Sharmila, Managed by Mrs Claudie Ravel and Mr Roger Abeyagoonesekera : 2 others Managing Directors. Then more than 10 persons are working in the garden and working on building repairs and maintenance which are not Chaminda, but Chaminda may help in its spare time Unfortunately, we apologize if one plumbery problem rose during their 2 days : we always try every day to check through the persons cleaning the room and Chaminda to report for repair to do, but on that specific day, we suppose that some workers, busy on the new building cottage did not report to us that the problem was not solved, as one worker confirmed that it was functioning ; so we notice that it was not well checked properly which defect was immediately rectified. Concerning the mentioned wrong booking, they have to refer to their agency who has not given any specific precision about the choice of their clients: so it was given what was available that precise day and shared bathrooms, less expensive are there also to reply to small budgets. This is also for the satisfaction of any guests. Although you have made such comment on our hotel, we warmly welcome your views and suggestions which will certainly encourage us to rectify short comings of this nature to be offered a better lodging facilities for your future visits to this hotel. Regards Eco lanka,
