Prior reviews of Cinnamon Stones are spot-on: inside and out, this is a beautiful home with a stunning view and tasteful decor that's both homey and elegant. We've been visitors to St John several times over many years and this has been our favorite villa. Our group of seven have vacationed at Cinnamon Stones twice and will hopefully return. The great room has multiple places to gather - the cozy living area with its large sectional and the well-equipped kitchen with room for several cooks (plus on-lookers at the counter stools), along with the large dining table. The pantry is stocked with many necessities, and there's also a separate office room and powder room. We spent time in the great room early in the day to prepare breakfast and to pack lunches to bring to the beach and on hikes, and then later in the day for a pre-dinner cocktail or to watch a movie in the evening. On a couple of evenings we made dinner and enjoyed it on the outside table - you'll find everything you need in this kitchen. There are four nice-sized and comfortable en-suite bedrooms with screens and louvered doors to let in as much of the breeze as you like. We love to fall asleep to a gentle breeze and the sound of coqui frogs. The master has a screen porch with an amazing view, which is the same view for the master bath shower. All bathrooms come with nice amenities and the bedrooms have ample space for clothing storage. We especially love the outdoor gathering spaces: a large dining table just outside the kitchen space, several chairs/seating areas on two levels that are covered from the elements, plus loungers, highboy table and round dining table beside the pool and hot tub. There is always a shady or covered spot to sit away from the sun, and the deck will get indirect and direct sun through much of the day when you prefer to be in the sun. It's an easy place to spend a morning before the beach, an afternoon after the beach - or a whole day! Did I mention the view? The view from the decks is even more gorgeous in person than in the photos you see above. The landscaping and planters around the villa are beautiful and well-maintained. The surrounding neighborhood, the Catherineburg area, is quiet and located with easy access to Centerline road to go toward Coral Bay or Cruz Bay, or a drive downhill takes you to the North Shore Road. We highly recommend this fantastic vacation home!

Absolutely Amazing, can't wait to go back!!!! We live on St Thomas with three small children and were fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at Cinnamon Stones for an early spring break weekend. In addition to some of the most beautiful views offered in the territory, the property had a lot of amenities to keep us entertained. In the mornings we would make a coffee and hop in the hammock taking in the views while snuggling with the kids. In the afternoons we spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub. Once the sun started going down we would light the grill and enjoy a nice meal outside watching the boats come back from the BVI's. The layout of the property is ideal for any group, we were grateful to learn that one of the master rooms was connected to "the kids room" with three twin beds. The property manager was so accommodating and made everything so easy. We found the the property was well thought out, everything was labeled and the instructions on how to operate everything were very clear. We will definitely be going back!!!

My wife and I have rented villas in Catherineberg for six winters in a row for a total of 30 weeks. We've rented Cinnamon Stones for the past two years and have already booked our stay for 2020. We love everything about this villa. The location, the views, the accommodations, the heated pool, the property management team and the owners. It is perfect for us. First is location & views. We love the North Shore view of the VI archipelago and turquoise water. Mary Point, Cinnamon Beach, Francis Beach, Great Thatch, Jost van Dyke, Tortola and more. On a clear day, you can even see Anegada on the distant horizon over Mary Point. The sun never shines in your face and the water is always blue. Rainbows are frequent as isolated showers roll through from time to time. Catherineberg is roughly half-way to the Coral Bay turn, so we can go east or west for outings. Catherineberg is accessed via a connector road (John Head) between Centerline Road (10) and the Shore Road (20) offering a short (mostly paved) but twisty access to the North Shore beaches and an alternative route east or west. We also love the north side of the island because it is cooler than the south side. The house and pool are well positioned to offer a bright, but shaded porch while the pool and parts of the surrounding deck are bathed in sun for most of the day. If you love 81+ degrees in the shade with opportunity to get into the sun only when you want to, this is the location. We love the north side. Cinnamon stones itself is a very well built island home on a private setting. CS had very little damage due to Irma in 2017. We rented it four months later...two weeks after the power was restored. Every room has partially louvered doors and is fully screened. There are no glass windows anywhere. We love it that way. We get the tropical breezes and fresh air along with the sounds of nature (Coqui at night and the occasional rooster or donkey in the distance during the day...along with boats and distant surf crashing on the beach). The lovely bedrooms all have attached indoor bathrooms and showers. The master shower is on a screened porch with roller shades. So you can pick total visual privacy or a shower with an amazing view. There is also a screened porch in the Master bedroom that is a lovely place to read and relax. Though it may seem odd in this tropical paradise, a heated pool is very nice and allows us to spend a lot of time swimming or just floating around while enjoying all of the above. This pool is 40 feet long for serious swimmers. And yes, there is WiFi and Internet here in all of the rooms. You can connect to the world, if and when you want to do so. I also brought my AppleTV with me and connected it to the living room TV. I was just like watching TV at home for us. We have known the property manager (Kathy M.) for two years now. We love her and her team. Last summer the villa ownership changed and we were fortunate to meet the new owners (Bruce and Kathy) during our extended stay this year. They are lovely people who also love St John. We highly recommend Cinnamon Stones for people who understand St John and what makes it special. (just don't try to book it for OUR weeks!). Ha Ha...

This is an exceptional villa in the Catherineberg Estates section of St. John, a lush, tropical setting overlooking the turquoise waters of beautiful Cinnamon Bay. The property and villa is very well maintained, well stocked with all the needed amenities, very comfortable and private. Master Bedroom has a full screened porch so you can wake up to the sun and tropical breeze coming through your window. Bedding and furniture was new and very comfortable. Kitchen was beautiful and very well equipped. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the villa from Cruz Bay. Be sure to rent a Jeep. You will definitely need 4 wheel drive to get to the property as the roads are unpaved and in some spots comical to navigate. It's worth the bumpy ride to arrive at this superb oasis.

My wife and I spent a week at Cinnamon Stones and we couldn't have been more pleased. The views are some of the best you can enjoy anywhere and you're totally secluded from anyone else. The modest-sized pool is on the lower level which, while not ideal, is necessary due to the slope the house is built upon, and only adds to the privacy. Lush foliage is well-maintained. The kitchen is outstanding, ideal for amateur chefs who enjoy staying in and preparing gourmet meals, which we do. It is well-stocked with many high-end items. If you like going out for dinner every night this place probably isn't for you since the road leading to the highway from the house can be challenging in the dark, moreso if it's raining. My advice, stay in and enjoy what you're paying for. My wife and I walked for exercise every morning, and due to the terrain you can get a great workout! Nice outdoor shower at the pool and the master bathroom shower is amazing, you'll have to see for yourself. No a/C in the villa may scare away some but it honestly was never an issue the entire week we were there (in June!!), great breezes and plenty of ceiling fans. Tourists from the northeast us probably can't imagine staying at a villa with no a/C since they sweat profusely above 60 degrees. This place is a gem, bring your lover and get busy!
