Totally perfect Easter weekend. Candy greeted us at the front door and Pierre quickly welcomed us into his kitchen. The entire Inn was beautifully restored. They did a wonderful job bringing it back to its original magnificence. They welcomed our three Huskies, introduced us to another couple, gave us some wine and showed us our room. The room was magnificent. Beautifully decorated and spotless. The bathroom was mostly marble and the shower stall had dual shower heads, need I say more? This room was The Kings Chamber for sure. After walking our dogs all through the neighborhood, we joined everyone else downstairs for the rest of the night and had a great time. The next morning we were greeted with coffee and mimosa cocktails followed by waffles, French toast, eggs benny, yogurt parfait, heart shaped sausage patties and of course maple soaked Bacon! All locally source foods. Over the top, Good food! We were quickly learning that Pierre was not your average cook, he was a well-trained chef. On our way out the door to the 6 dozen wineries in the area, Pierre ask if we’d like dinner ready when we got in that night. For a small up charge, we had T-bone steak, fillet mignon, lobster, best veggies ever, chocolate mousse and of course, wine. Lots of wine. Pierre took our breakfast order that night in which I just said Protein please. Pierre nailed it! Three meats, three eggs and a side of yogurt with berries. WOW! Before we began our 6 hour trip home, I began walking all the dogs. It was Easter morning, very quiet in the neighborhood, I began to hear singing from above. “Did I die, is this heaven? Great food, good wine and a choir singing?” Lo-and-behold, 100 feet above me there was a choir singing from the top of the mountain. I just stood there for a while and listened, it was amazing. What a great way to end our stay at The Kings Inn. Hands down, the best B&B experience ever.
In a world where toot in the wind B&B’s are all the rag, The Kings Inn B&B was a breath of fresh air. Truly the way a Real B&B should be. Thank you Candy and Pierre, for your exceptional hospitality. What a great experience. We will be back for sure.
