Lovely cottage and a great base for exploring the Peak District.
Enjoyed staying at this ideal cottage, equipped with everything we needed and a great host too. The little Vicarage is situated perfectly for being able to get out on walks or rides straight from the front door.

Lovely Cottage

Wonderful cottage, host and location
The Little Vicarage is well equipped, spacious (for 3 anyway), and is a perfect location. Nicky was a great host and Wetton is a picturesque little village. My daughter, who is a runner, found the lanes for miles around to be quiet and ideal for morning sessions. The local Tea Room is wonderful, highly recommended, and the pub next door is also friendly with good basic pub grub. Our week's visit was a little rainy but it did not dampen our time there too much. We would recommend the walk to Thor's Cave from the cottage, cycling the Manifold Way (which is much easier than it sounds, it's basically flat all the way), and if you are foodies and feel like splashing out definitely visit the George at Alstonefield! Overall, a great place to stay and we would try to return in the future.

What a great place to stay!
The Little Vicarage Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you want a base for exploring the Peak District. It was just the right size for four people and was cosy and comfortable. Nicky’s personal touches of fresh cut flower, freshly baked (warm) bread, jam and cake made us feel at home from the get go. We will definitely be coming again.

Lovely comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings.
Located in the lovely village of Wetton which has a super tea room in the old school house. Fantastic local walks to Thors Cave, Wetton Hill, Dovedale and the Manifold Valley. The cottage is well appointed and has everything you need for a great stay in the Peak District, and a warm welcome from Nicky with her homemade cake, jam and bread. You could take a walk across the fields to Alstonefield for a great Sunday lunch at The George pub. A good location for discovering the beautiful Peak District.

Just wonderful
Nicky’s cottage is one of the nicest we have stayed in. It is a completely self contained annexe to the main vicarage which has been beautifully rebuilt with much love and great attention to detail. The cottage is warm and extremely generously equipped and furnished - everything you need for a real home from home stay and spotlessly clean. The gardens surrounding Little Vicarage are extensive and are a beautiful place to sit in the sunshine.
Wetton is a lovely little village set in the glorious Peak District with so many beautiful walks right from the cottage door that you could easily leave your car on the driveway. Further afield are so many beautiful places to visit, this area has something for everyone with the lovely old market town of Ashbourne just a few miles away should you need provisions or a spot of very smart retail therapy!
We shall definitely be back and the sooner the better!
Oh yes, forgot to mention Nicky’s lovely homemade bread, cake and Jam!

Wonderfull stay
Very nice cottage ... and the pictures do do it justice... very well equipped and indeed spotlessly clean....everything you would want for a weeklong stay... the cottage is located in the quiet village of Wetton very close to some beautifull walks but close enough to the market town of Ashbourne

Peaceful, relaxing family break in the Peak District
What a relaxing break! This is the second time we have stayed at Nicky’s place in the lovely Peak District village of Wetton.
The first time we came, we spent some nights at the B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there and vowed to return after spending a few days in the autumn exploring the Peak District.
The breakfast is rather marvellous – as was the homemade cake on arrival. The rooms were large and warm – as was the welcome from Nicky and her two dogs.
The second time we visited we chose to stay in the cottage which is an annexe to the main house. This was charming and it was lovely to relax in a warm, well-appointed and equipped space.
Nicky is a super host, with lots of good ideas about where to go and which tearooms to visit – whether it is for an all-day breakfast, lunch or tea. We chose to eat each evening at the local pub which served great food and has the benefit of only being a few paces away from the B&B.
This is a beautiful place, and ideally placed for access to the Peak District. For walkers of all ages, there are a huge number of choices with starting points just a short drive away. There are also some lovely towns in short distance away. We will certainly be back!

beautiful location
Hi I stayed here with my family 4 days over Christmas my son and his girlfriend have a film company in Beijing and at the very last moment made a snap decesion to come to England for Christmas I was looking for a perfect back in time old English village in which to spend Christmas I found wetton which was fantastic and tranquil in every way you would expect a sleepy little village to be,the old vicarage owned and run by Nicky along with her 2 lovely dogs was just the place beautiful in every way and almost forgot what fantastic value for the price ,would have paid more for this and have no hesitation in recommending to anyone ,thanks Nicky

Wonderful, comfortable accommodation.
In a lovely village location with a pub a stones throw away, this was a perfect get away cottage for our family. Set in beautiful countryside with some fantastic walks. The Little Vicarage has everything you could possibly need for a family break to the Peak District. A warm welcome awaits. We will be coming back in 2017.
