A well thought out cottage with two good size double bedrooms with good wardrobe space. We arrived to find, milk, juice and wine in the fridge and crisps. We also had the usual tea, coffee and sugar etc. We enjoyed Stratford and a open top bus tour. Had an excellent lunch and cream tea in the Fourteas restaurant which is a 40’s themed tearoom. We also enjoyed busting Tewksbury and the Morgan car Company.

The photos don't do it justice. Gorgeous,tasteful and spacious. Wine, chocolate,milk and juice on arrival. All condiments and coffee etc topped up. Beautiful outdoor communal space attracting many birds. Great location. Recommend the bus tours. Saw the wonderful RSC in the open air theatre. Went to Cotwald villages, Warwick castle and my old Alma Mater at the University of Nottingham. You would be well advised to book.

The gardens and whole site where Welford Cottage is situated are well thought out and beautifully kept, unfortunately the weather was not kind to us so we could not take advantage of the patio and garden beyond. The interior of the cottage was rather cluttered for our taste (particularly the kitchen area) and there were nooks and crannies that could have been cleaned to a higher standard. We would definitely visit Stratford upon Avon again as it is such a beautiful place but sadly not this cottage. By the way - only just noticed that all the glowing reviews were well over a year old - not a good sign.

Welford cottage is situated in a complex of holiday cottages a short drive from Stratford-upon-Avon. The grounds are beautiful, we saw some chickens on one of the lawns on our arrival. The shared back garden is really pretty and there is a lovely view of it from the living room patio doors. There is a downstairs toilet in the entrance hall and a combined living room/dining room/kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with a full size dishwasher and washing machine. You don’t need to bring anything other than food- everything is here including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, orange juice, cleaning things and even foil. The cottage also has WiFi which was great for us. We brought our chromcast and watched Netflix and now tv casted onto the hd tv in the living room. The beds are lovely & comfy, and the bathroom is again very well equipped and if you forget shampoo, shower gel etc it’s there! I was really impressed with the cottage, Sarah has left a folder in the living room telling you exactly how everything works and where everything is including shops, hospitals, dentists etc. There is a huge array of tourist information in the kitchen and a cupboard bursting with dvds and cds in the living room. Welford Cottage is 5 to 10 minutes from Stratford Upon Avon in a converted barn complex. It is a two bedroom one bathroom terrace cottage which is nicely furnished with a well equipped kitchen and beautifully warm. There is so much to do in the area, Stratford, visiting lovely towns...Broadway, Chipping Camden. A great walk we did was walk up to the Broadway Tower and then have lunch at The Bell Inn Willersey.

We booked the cottage for a Monday to Friday stay and didn't want to leave. It's cosy and very well situated for travelling in to the town and local attractions. Everything you need is provided including soft fluffy towels and lovely linen. We couldn't fault it and hope to be able to return in the future.

Loved this cottage , so well,furnished and comforrtable,lovely view off patio across communal gardens , We didn't bring the car purpously we wanted to chill out, it was 20 minutes in taxi from station,the rest off the week we got the bus right outside every half hour into,Stratford, although the last bus back is round 7 o'clock . We were so lucky with perfect weather,.highly recommended!

We stayed for a week (2 adults 1 15 year old). I contacted the owner via email and received a quick response, we were given very good directions and even sent an email on our arrival day to say that the cottage was available earlier than the usual check in time which was very much appreciated and a kind thought. The cottage is exactly as the photos and has everything you need. Within minutes of arriving we saw, a moorhen, pheasant, woodpecker and squirrel, lovely rural location but only minutes to Stratford Upon Avon and in the other direction to the Cotswolds. We would stay here again.

We welcomed the 2017 New Year in at Welford Cottage, our first visit to the cottage in the Winter months and during the festive season, we were not disappointed. The cottage had been dressed tastefully with Christmas decorations and gifts for all had been left for our arrival. The cottage is warm and well equipped for winter as much as for summer, it really is worth a visit any time of the year. The complex of cottages have their own Christmas tree outside and the gardens are kept immaculate. In comparison, Welford Cottage stands out as being the prettiest and most well equipped out of all the holiday cottages in the complex by far. It has character and charm in abundance. It well located for visits to Stratford, Warwick and Gloucestershire. There are plenty of National Trust sites, garden centres, boating and sightseeing tours, horse and sporting activities, shopping, restaurants and good old country pubs to visit. Then once you've done all of that, the beds are so immaculate, comfortable and cosy you won't want to get out! Facilities at the cottage, should you need them, make life easy; washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum, brand new oven, iron, great shower and bath and not forgetting the little luxuries that make you feel welcome, candles, matches and bath bombs! We intend to return again for a stay at Welford Cottage as there is still so much more to see and do and of course, it is such a relaxing and peaceful bolthole that we intend to visit for many more years to come, thanks Sarah.

Had a wonderful week visiting some lovely towns and countryside in and around Warwickshire, the North Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. So glad we choose this cottage for our stay as it definitely was a major contribution to a perfect holiday. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts overlooking the picturesque gardens and always looked forward to getting back in the evenings after our day trips. The cottage is very comfortable, and has all the facilities one could wish for, it felt like a real and welcoming home from home. Superbly located to take full advantage of all this area has to offer. Highly recommended.
