Communication with Andrea throughout the booking process and whilst we were travelling from Le Mans to the Gite was excellent and very timely.
Approx 20 mins from Bordeaux and very easy to find thanks to the directions provided.
Andrea, Nola and Jean-Louis are the perfect hosts, welcoming, kind, informative and very helpful.
We stayed for one week in Le Relais, this large very bright, immaculate and well appointed traditional converted Gite which had everything we needed and more.
Living room with TV, comfortable seating, large dining table and internet - Wi-Fi.
Very well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, plenty storage and dining table.
Utility area with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, toilet, ironing facilities.
Large bedrooms (2) each with huge wardrobe, en-suite and extremely comfortable beds.
Private outdoor dining area, barbecue facilities, large swimming pool and outdoor games area.
Ample safe gated car parking with fantastic views of the vineyard.
Jean-Louis' knowledge and recommendations of places to visit, eat and drafting us maps of the surrounding places of interest was invaluable and he made sure we didn't miss out on the outstanding beauty of the Bordeaux region - Saint Emilion, Creon Market, Duras, St Foy le Grande, Limeuil, Beynac-et-Cazenac Castle, La Roque-Gageac, and many more.
Chateau la Gontrie's vineyard tour provided by Jean-Louis, gave us a fantastic insight into this outstanding vineyard and business. Wine tasting was an education and an experience not to be missed.
Ideal holiday location for couples, friends and families and is highly recommended.
