We had a fabulous 10 days in this beautiful region. Surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vineyards, there is lots to see and do and amenities are close by. Rose cottage is large and spacious and the grounds are very lovely and relaxing, with a fabulous pool. Tim is very welcoming and provided helpful information and suggestions. We had a great stay!

Beautiful relaxing holiday location
Quiet village location ideal for a relaxing recharge. Immaculate pool and cycles available for exercise with flat countryside around and canal cycle paths. Local markets for shopping and chateaux for wine tasting. Host on site for advice if needed.
Definitely would go again.

Amazing calm peaceful.
Wonderful holiday as usual ,excellent accomodation beautiful pool .
Very rural setting but easy access to local towns.
Family friendly tree house trampoline bikes.
Very clean. Can get to great beach at Biscarrosse.
Excellent night markets near at hand.
Even an annual light opera festival in the village
We have been coming for 30 years can’t recommend it enough.

A lovely place to stay
Beautiful property in the quiet countryside. Lots of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the pool, and really close to excellent vineyards and lots of things to do with kids. Tim was welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed our stay immensely!

Fabulous Family Holiday
We enjoyed a fabulous two week stay at Jasmin, a rustic French gite with two beautiful bedrooms and some lovely private outdoor space. Badminton, trampoline, bikes and swimming pool on site. Tim is so helpful with his local knowledge and suggestions for things to do. From cycling through cornfields, sunflower fields and along the canal, canoeing on the river and experiencing the lively night markets in the surrounding towns there is plenty to do. A beautiful area of France and less than an hour's drive from Bordeaux which is also well worth a visit. Fabulous holiday.

Very relaxing
We had a lovely time in Jasmine cottage. It was very well equipped but without losing its rustic charm. The pool was great and it was very peaceful, so we spent a lot of time doing not very much, which was just what we needed.
Tim was really helpful and even gave us provisions for the first night when we couldn’t find a supermarket 😊

Outstanding French Farmhouse
We returned this year after holidaying here the year before. The region is beautiful and we would return anyway but we came back here specifically because of the house, the facilities and the hospitality. We even plan on renting both cottages next year and bringing some wider family.
It is a rural French idyll within the Bordeaux wine region, St Emelion is a short drive away. Bordeaux city, Great dune of Pyla, canoeing on the Dordogne, cycling along the Canal du Midi towpath, night markets or just chill out by the pool.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful relaxing holiday in a traditional French country farmhouse
La Rose is a restored farmhouse in a quiet rural setting. The house is spacious and extremely well appointed and furnished in the traditional style. It lies between the Garonne and the canal lateral so it is very well situated for walking and cycling with little driving necessary. However, for those that wish, short drives take you to several beautiful villages and into the towns and vineyards entre deux mers. Bordeaux is only an hour away by car and it is possible to take the train. The pool is large enough to swim in as well as splash. The owner, Tim, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable but manages this without being noticeable; a rare skill. We'd recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent stay
La Rose is a charming and relaxed French farmhouse in rural France. Tim is the perfect host and the facilities are excellent with the pool being our children's favourite! In fact that is all they really wanted.
Bordeaux, the great dune of Pyla, Arcachon, St Emilion were just a few of the attractions in east reach.
We loved it and we will return. We can't recommend it more highly than saying that it will be our farmhouse of choice from now on.

Great House, Great Host, Great Location.
We had never been to France before, but we fell on our feet with this holiday property. Its clean, well equipped and comfortable with a well maintained, large garden for the family to enjoy. The location is in easy reach of Bordeaux city, with the benefit of being nestled in lush landscapes amongst picturesque villages. There are a whole range of places to visit, with surprisingly well priced fantastic quality restaurants nearby. But if eating and drinking get too much, there is an excellent pool to relax by at the house. As we were new to France we asked Tim, the property owner for some ideas of places to see and visit. His knowledge is excellent and made some great suggestions for days out. Without doubt our most relaxing and enjoyable holiday to date!
