Wow!
A beautiful gite in an idyllic location. Will & Karen are fantastic hosts who strike the perfect balance between being around to help and advise without imposing. The gite is very well equipped and the pool/table tennis/animals kept children entertained. A wonderful place to relax and a great base to explore the surrounding area.

A Wonderful Stay
This was my first time traveling to French countryside. I went with my daughter’s family including two 7-year-old twins. We stayed at the Hopkins Gite for 5 nights. We all agreed that we could skip Paris where we stayed 3 days. Because of the delay of our train from Paris to Toulouse, we arrived at Will’s place late at night. Having Will’s warm greetings and seeing the spacious, clean, and country style gite, we immediately had our enthusiasm back after 12 hours on the road. As I opened my bedroom window the next morning. I breathed in fresh and sweet air. I saw the expansive beautiful rolling hills under the warm sunrise and heard sounds of birds, doves, roosters, and dogs. At night, I did star gazing. I could live here! The gite is so convenient for us to visit the planned attractions such as Carcassonne, Space Center, the cave, etc. The country roads leading to these places and the cute little passed and visited villages are absolutely a joy to experience. Thanks Will for your warm hospitality and the amazing life stories you had shared with us. Thanks Matilda for sharing your study and life in the countryside. What a treat to have us see your chickens and donkeys on the night before our trip home. I have rented quite a few vacation homes through the years. This is my BEST experience ever.

A piece of paradise
What a stunning place, will be booking again this year and beyond! Comfortable gite and well equipped. Will and Karen extremely welcoming and always available to advise and answer questions. Great local market, well worth a visit and many other wonderful local attractions.

Just Beautiful!
On arrival we knew we'd found something extremely special here..such a wonderful feeling arriving in paradise! We were on holiday with our two young children and another family so we had two of the Gite's, both were incredible, the decor interiors have been decorated to perfection and with such attention to detail and have kept the rustic character, and yet extremely modern, nothing has been forgotten or overlooked..the surrounding areas are amazing and Karen and Will were perfect hosts, every single recommendation they made was just right especially the local restaurant Sybella's! we all miss this place even my son still gets sad he says when he thinks of our magical holiday in Toulouse as he wants to go back there asap! it has such warmth and charm and I can't wait to head back there one day soon. Thank you Will and Karen, Balou and the girls.

Beautiful Gite, amazing surroundings, the most helpful and welcoming hosts!
We had an amazing holiday at Hopkins Gite, the surroundings were spectacular and we loved seeing the sunflowers! The children loved it too, from the inflatables on the lake, riding bikes along canal di midi to seeing the donkeys and playing in the pool!! We could not fault it and would love to return!! Will and Karen made it special, with little maps and even some birthday cake!

FANTASTIC
After a stressful journey to France after flight cancellations , we arrived at wills place and was amazed from the moment we arrived.the drive up to the gite is breathtaking with the fantastic views surrounding. We were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left by will and his family and even enjoyed a game of boules one evening. As we had hired a car we were in the perfect location to visit many different tourist attractions including carcasonne, canal de midi and toulouse for a meal out one night.( with will as our navigation system) There is a supermarket close by which we used to cook all our meals whilst staying. I can't fault anything about this stay it surely was completely amazing. Can't wait to return. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect :)

A gem in the South of France
My family and I stayed in the Hopkins Gite at Chateau de Montoussel. We were amazed at how picturesque and atmospheric it was. We had a fantastic stay. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return! Will went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. He could not have been more helpful and is an excellent host!

Chilled in the Chateau with perfect Hosts; Highly Recommended
We arrived on a Sunday when not much is open in France and Will arranged a great basket for us so we could enjoy our stay right away. The accommodation is perfect- clean, spacious and with great balcony views of the fields and world beyond. There is a private pool for your use that you will share with possibly one or two other residents; plenty of long walks possible as is as remote as you can get without going into mountains. Lots of places to visit around here with some good markets and a lovely lake with some good restaurants in the area. Will and his faithful hound were on call for our needs, and he got the balance between 'being there' and 'not there' perfectly. The beauty of this break is that you can be as peaceful as you need or want to be in this spot, and you can easily discover social interaction and lovely French villages to mingle with the friendly locals as desired. Highly Recommended

Outstanding, stylish gite - beautiful location
What a wonderful find. We stayed in the Hopkins Gite. There isn't anything our hosts, Will and Karen hadn't thought about. The accommodation is extremely spacious, being traditionally furnished with a lovely French feel but with a contemporary twist. The colours used were fab, bringing the whole interior to life, with all matching accessories. Nothing was too much trouble for Will, and we arrived to a bespoke hamper, pre-ordered before leaving England, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed breakfast the morning after arrival on the balcony. The area surrounding the gite is extremely picturesque, and whilst in the middle of rolling countryside and extremely peaceful, is ideally placed to visit Toulouse and Carcassone. We drove out to the mountains with nearby ski resorts and also to the coast at Narbonne, allowing us to experience the vastly different landscapes. Nearby Revel has a bustling market and there are many pretty towns to explore. Even in early October, the climate was kind to us, and we went home feeling refreshed after a relaxing week's break. Certainly one to re-visit.

Relaxing family holiday
