A lovely place to unwind
A cottage which is very close to the town and the beach. It was clean and warm. A real plus in late Sept. The town has lots of good places to eat. We only drove to the donkey sanctuary because we had visited most places before and we wanted to relax. It has parking which is a great asset. The kitchen diner is very light and is very pleasant to sit in looking out into a courtyard garden. The only negative is that it is three storeys high without a toilet on the top floor

Another Great Holiday at Golden Cottage
Our third stay and we were not disappointed. The accommodation is ideal for five people, is centrally located and very near the beach. For children there is a nearby playground. We recommend The Anchor pub for food which has a vast menu. The cottage is well presented, clean and has good facilities. I am sure we will stay there again.

A 5-Star Stay
We had a 12 night stay at the beginning of February. We were looking for luxury accommodation that would give us a great-place-to-be should the winter weather be poor. We were not disappointed (and the weather was kind). The kitchen/diner/sunroom area is light and bright and faces south into the small courtyard. We loved everything about the cottage - scrupulously clean, well fitted out with good quality items, beautifully decorated, excellent heating and hot water etc. We especially enjoyed setting out for walks directly from the cottage along the coastal paths and inland, and also catching the bus for further-away walks at e.g. Seaton/Beer, Budleigh Salterton/Otterton and the donkey sanctuary. We did not need to use our car at all. My wife and I would like to return to this cottage and we don't often say that!

Great week in Sidmouth
Super cottage in Sidmouth. 2 minute walk to the Esplanade and less than 10 minute walk to any restaurant. 3 good sized bedrooms and a spacious lounge and kitchen diner. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen has everything we needed, and the large bathroom with a walk in shower was great! Definitely recommend this cottage!

Relax in Sidmouth
This was our second stay at Golden Cottage after a four year gap. As with our previous stay the accommodation does not disappoint and has in fact been improved. Sidmouth is a wonderful place to stay and has plenty of things to do. Good restaurants an bars are in abundance and the locals we encountered are friendly. As a family we highly recommend the cottage and are already planning to visit again next year.

Perfect location
Despite quite relatively poor weather still had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Very comfortable, so close to promenade, shops, cafes and the Byes walks yet quiet. Cottage well equipped. Private parking a big bonus. Sidmouth very welcoming and plenty of facilities.

Stunning cottage, perfect location in best seaside town
Golden Cottage lives up to its name with sun streaming in from every window and a patio that basks in that striking seaside light. From a practical point of view car parking and ease off offloading all your holiday kit this is just what you get here. The location is perfect for exploring the seafront and the shops, all within a few minutes' walk and a wonderful pub serving good food just opposite. The cottage is fitted out to the highest standard and just oozes comfort and relaxation. We have stayed in many cottages in Sidmouth over the years and we are pleased to say Golden Cottage ranks as one of the tops. it just makes the holiday experience one to remember and savour for a long long time.

My Week Away!
Golden Cottage, has everything, pleasant accommodation, parking, brilliant location, close to all amenities in Sidmouth and a pub which does great food and drink across the rd.

Perfect holiday home.
We recently stayed at Golden Cottage for a few days with our family and a 2 year old, who loved the smallest room. We loved the location ,very quiet, so close to shops and sea, and easy parking outside. The house is spacious ,clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped with very comfortable beds. We would like to return.

Very comfortable ,spacious cottage.
We have recently returned from spending a very enjoyable week at Golden Cottage.It is situated only a few minutes walk from the promenade and beach.The cottage is well equipped ,having everything you could possibly want on holiday.It is situated close to all the amenities in Sidmouth including restaurants shops ,etc.The lounge is roomy and would be adequate for 5 people.On the first floor is the master bedroom and bathroom with a walk -in shower,witha further 2 bedrooms on the second floor.I would be happy to recommend it and it would be my first choice if holidaying in Sidmouth again.
