Best Value in St Lucia
My wife and I highly recommend the South Sea House. It can be a little difficult finding the place but once you get your bearings, its perfectly located almost everything you need in St Lucia. We hopped in the rental car and saw a new part of the island everyday. Its also close to a lot fine and casual dinning options as well. Jerome and Karen are great hosts and the apartment is perfect for 2 people looking to get away from it all. Very relaxing and a great breeze constant throughout the morning and evening. We went grocery shopping and made breakfast every morning and sat out on the balcony and took in the wonders that is St Lucia. We also had a handful of adult beverages on that same balcony at night. The apartment had everything we needed as well. Wifi was decent and cable tv was on in the background. It also had everything we needed to cook if need be. The bed was a little firm, shower took a couple minutes to warm up but how picky can you be. Jerome and his co-captain Glen also took us out for a day on his boat for a private tour while there for a small fee. It was definitely the most bang for the buck and we encourage both long and short term renters to consider the South Sea House.

Hi Sean. Thanks very much for your wonderful review. We are pleased you both enjoyed your vacation with us in St. Lucia. As you mention we are very well located for exploring the island, with several beaches and good restaurants close by. We pride ourselves on providing good quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Regarding the shower, our hot water is heated by solar power with the water tank located on the roof. It can therefore take a couple of minutes to run down. We also have an electrical back up heater, on the rare occasions when we have no sun for a couple of days! We hope you will choose to visit again! Karen and Jerome

Ideal for experiencing the north and west of the island
South Sea House in the Cap Estate was an excellent choice for our two week tour of Saint Lucia. We were only a five minute drive to Rodney Bay with its shops, mall, marina, restaurants and cafes and 30 minutes from the capital Castries. We occupied a double bed self contained apartment but larger ones were available. Ours was very well equipped with full kitchen facilities. Most of our meals were had on the veranda which overlooked the golf course. Views to the east showed some spectacular sunrises. There is a complimentary phone preprogrammed with the hosts numbers and some of the local taxis. Our hosts were very approachable and very informative. We were made to feel like part of their family. We’ll be back.

Really is as good as it looks!
We stayed once again with Karen and Jerome but this year in apartment 2. This is as well appointed as the others and has every kitchen appliance that you could need. The washing machine is a bonus for keeping beachwear clean! The once a week maid service was also much appreciated. The plunge pool provided the opportunity for a refreshing dip and the view is amazing. We used the family pool frequently - the sun loungers are a great addition and it is a lovely are in which to relax. The drive to Rodney Bay is about 5 minutes where there are numerous bars, restaurants and the supermarket. Karen and Jerome are amazing hosts - on site if you need any advice and the local mobile phone that they provide gives you extra reassurance when out and about. The small touched that they provide (from Pitons in the fridge on arrival to fresh flowers) make you feel really welcome. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough - you would be hard pushed to find anything equivalent for this price. Cant's wait for next year!

Crickets at nights.
My companion and i were blessed to book this place last minute on my second visit to St. Lucia. It away from all the hustle and bustle of Rodney Bay and it was perfect. From the dazzling sun rise over cotton bay and the golf course in the morning to the dozens of crickets that can be heard at nights. The apartment was clean and very welcoming just as seen in the pictures. There is no air need for air condition unit as the main living area was well ventilated and as the house is perched on a hill. There is however one unit in the bed room. The plunge pool even though very inviting was unable to be used by my companion and I as the water was very cold both day and night. The owners Karen and Jerome thank you. We did have a good time and would definitly be back. They were only a foot step or phone call away, they were also very resourceful and assissted us as needed. I would like to add a few suggetions to further enhance your guest stay. Firstly warm water for the plunge pool. Televison in the bed room. A full lenght mirror and lastly a tea station with coffee , creamer, tea bags for guess as they arrive. Dispite these missing amenites. Pertect location for a quite vaction.

Your suggestions are noted and we have the following comments: The plunge pool is designed to be a place to cool down from the tropical climate and not a hot tub or jacuzzi. We provide a large TV in the living room and most guests seem to find this sufficient to their needs. A full length mirror has been added. Thank you for this suggestion. We provide an electric kettle for guests to make tea / coffee and also a coffee press and expresso maker. Most guests make a grocery stop on their way for essentials as it is a self catering apartment, but we do provide some cold local beers for guests on arrival.

Excelente vacaciones
Nuestra estadía en St. Lucía fue magnífica. La isla es espectacular: excelentes playas, una vegetación exhuberante y sobre todo su gente es muy, muy amable. Nos sorprendió ver como la gente detiene su vehículo particular, para acercar a cualquier persona a su destino. El apartamento es muy confortable, cuenta con todas las comodidades necesarias para pasar una muy buena estadía. La conexión wi-fi es excelente.La zona donde se ubica es muy tranquila y segura. El centro comercial o playa más cercana, está a 5 o 10 minutos, por lo cual es conveniente contar con vehículo. Los dueños de casa, son muy buenos anfitriones, siempre dispuestos a responder ante nuestras inquietudes.

Translation: Our stay in St. Lucia was magnificent. The island is spectacular: excellent beaches, lush vegetation and especially its people are very, very friendly. We were surprised to see how people stopped their own cars to bring anyone to their destination. The apartment is very comfortable, has all the comforts for a great stay. The wi-fi connection is excellent. The area where the apartment is located is very quiet and safe. The shopping center or nearest beach is 5 or 10 minutes, so it is advisable to have a vehicle. Home owners are very good hosts, always ready to respond to our concerns.

Wonderful location for a relaxed holiday
We stayed at Karen and Jerome's other property a couple of years ago, so this was a natural choice when returning to St Lucia. Apartment as described, clean and well maintained. Well equipped. Good customer service provided. Location is quiet with views out to Cas en Bas Bay. Spectacular sunrises (jet lag woke us early) can be photographed from apartment balcony. Recommend following restaurants - La Terrase, Froggie Jacques, Spice of India, Blue Olive all in Rodney Bay. Pink Plantation House at Castries. Key Largo for good pizza in Rodney Bay. Beach between Pigeon Island and Sandals busier than last time we visited but umbrellas and sun loungers available to rent. Good location for sunsets. Eastern beaches on the island all affected by seaweed (more than last time we were here) but that may be transitory.
