The folks at CaterTo get no points for the accuracy of their description of the property. It is very nice, with spectacular views, but ... It is not a "new construction" by any means (as our host freely admitted when we arrived). And the floor plan is not conducive to five couples sharing equally. True, it sleeps 10, but one room is a massive master suite, while two others are small and share a bathroom, and the fourth is a tiny "nanny's quarters." The fifth is a guest room in the gate house. So, it's designed for a family, not couples -- none of which is clear from the description. The "pool" is a wading pool that gets no sun. There is no water pressure in the showers. And there are no chairs in bedroom -- no place to sit, for example, while putting on your shoes. Again, the view is spectacular and the house is otherwise clean and comfortable, but because it is north-facing, it does not get much such except on one upper level deck in the afternoon where there are 4 lounge chairs. So, all-in-all, I must say that we've been in better places on St. John.

This is an amazing property with an unbelievable view. It’s a very relaxing environment with plenty of space to host family and friends for an exciting getaway!

I went here on trip with my fiancé and a group of friends, and this place did not disappoint. First of all, it’s HUGE, the rooms are amazing, and the terrace has a view that I’ve only seen before on computer screensavers. Also, there are multiple terraces which I didn’t even discover until the second day. The location of Limetree is also super convenient if you plan on snorkeling, you are literally a 5-minute drive to Maho and Cinnamon beach. My favorite outdoor house feature was the infinity pool - it’s set up so you can just lounge and watch the boats go by. A nice feature that surprised me that I have to call out is that there are two large covered parking areas with plenty of space. I rented a Jeep, which everyone does and most areas (the entire island) is one lane in each direction so making a U-turn or pulling out of a space can be a real pain, but the driveway at Limetree gave so much more space than most parking areas in the town that it was breeze. Another thing that I didn’t expect was that it had a professional kitchen setup. It has stainless steel appliances, brand new Le Creuset pots and pans and true chef knives; which after testing there we purchased when we got back! It really inspired me to cook multiple nights! One final thing that I didn’t even know the property had, but was so thankful that it did, was a backup generator. Power went out on the island for a few hours during our stay, but I didn’t even notice. The generator kicked on immediately we had no idea and just continued to play music and enjoy the view.

When we first arrived, after the windy ride up the hills, we were stopped in our tracks. The views are literally exactly like the pictures. From every point in the house! The house itself was spacious and accommodating. It also had everything we needed appliance wise (my husband was thrilled about the espresso machine). We would play music while outside in the pool and had our own little party. We went with a large group and everyone had their own room, it was awesome. I will definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful, relaxing time in the Villa especially since the area is very quiet. The owner has a handyman who met us at the dock and helped make our transition into the Villa extremely smooth. The Villa itself is gorgeous and breathtaking. The cleanliness was impressive. I couldn’t believe the attention to details such as brass wash bowls in the bathrooms. The layout is extremely convenient. All the seat cushions are really comfortable and the furniture is elegant. The full kitchen is awesome. I had no problem sleeping in the bed, all bedrooms having views to the ocean, with windows that can be opened and curtains that can cover them. Even the small pool with a jacuzzi is a very nice touch. The Villa is extremely easy to reach as long as you have a jeep of course. There is a 10 yard stretch of the road which is a little steep because the Villa is perched up on the mountain side facing the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. You can see the British Isles as well as St Thomas. The view is almost magical. There are very few houses in all that area due to that part of the island being a national reserve of the US Forestry Service. Fortunately the pristine beaches are nearby and easy to reach. There night life is in Cruz Bay which is close by. In summary, I have stayed in this type of setup all over the Caribbean and this one is the best I’ve ever been in. This surpasses a five star accommodation. I highly recommend this Shangri La to anyone who wants a tranquil vacation in a beautiful setting that’s very close to nature. I can’t wait to go back! Lime Tree Upper Peter Bay: My family recently had the opportunity to go on a family vacation to Lime Tree which is located in Upper Peter Bay, Saint John. This Lime Tree Villa is magnificent. Only pictures could perfectly describe its beauty & unbelievable views. It is immaculate inside & out with beautiful flowering plants & mango’s growing on trees. The main gathering room has a center island which was the highlight spot where we all gathered to talk, laugh, eat appetizers & enjoy our time together. The stunning kitchen was well equipped with everything a chef needs to make a perfect gourmet dinner. One evening Chef Jordan from Saint John Catering came in and cooked a meal that we all will never forget. Our children & grandchildren enjoyed the time they spent talking together as they sat at the outdoor tables on the balcony which overlooks the pool, hot tub and Peter Bay. It made for a great place for family to gather, relax, & catch up. This villa has everything you need from nice towels, comfortable sheets, beach towels, beach chairs, two washers & two dryers. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning & walking out onto the balcony of your bedroom to the most magnificent, breathtaking views. The area around Lime Tree has great hiking & historical ruins to visit along with beautiful beaches that have the clearest blue water we have ever seen. The snorkeling was great at every beach we visited. Don’t forget to bring an underwater camera to take pictures of all the beautiful fish! As much as you will never want to leave this villa, you will want to rent a jeep so you can venture out to explore this beautiful island & to see all it has to offer. This was a vacation that my family & I will never forget. It is truly Paradise and I highly recommend a visit.

Just got home from a week’s stay at Lime tree and it was amazing!! The property is set on top of a hill and has the most spectacular views overlooking lower Peter Bay, the ocean and nearby beaches. The house is great. We especially loved the multiple indoor and outdoor dining areas. There’s nothing quite like enjoying your morning cup of coffee on an outside covered deck while taking in the scenery. The decoration and openness of the rooms in the house provides the wistfulness of a villa in an island oasis while still having modern conveniences. For instance, we were pleased to learn that we were able to get the Thursday night football game on a big screen TV with comfortable couches and enjoy an island breeze all at once. The house is located about 10 mins from Cruz Bay (restaurants, grocery store, ferry, shopping) and minutes away from the best beaches on the island. Our favorite beaches were Cinnamon (which you can see clearly from the house) and Maho (we saw lots of turtles!). The pictures don’t do it justice. Can’t wait to come back!

As I drove up the driveway to enter this property, I was at a loss for words!! The entire property is undeniably stunning and the construction is exquisite. As I walked towards the house, the level of excitement grew as I saw the absolutely incredible views! I stayed in October, and there were days the sun wasn’t completely shining but even with some clouds and rain, this house felt like paradise! As you walk under the guest house, you see a gorgeous pool and hot tub to your left, lime trees, and landscaping with beatiful flowers to your right. The entire property is surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re the only people on the island! As I walked in the house, I about died! The kitchen is every person’s dream-kitchen, with a huge gas stove, two extra mini fridges for drinks conveniently built near the lower level cabinets, a huge fridge, large pantry for storage, and every cooking utensil imaginable! Even the cookware is beautiful, with Le Creuset cooking tools and bakeware, it’s every cook’s perfect kitchen! My favorite part of the kitchen is the Spanish Tile! I love the open floor plan of the main floor! There is a huge dining room and living room surrounded by floor to ceiling glass doors framed with dark wood from Nicaragua. Every floor of the house has wrap around balconies with the magnificent views and lounge chairs to sit or lay in. Everything in this house is outstanding...I couldn’t get over the detail!! From the tropical floor tiles to the showers in the bathrooms to the light fixtures!! The light fixtures are from Morocco and they complete the house entirely. I stayed in a guest bedroom which felt like a master bedroom! It had its own AC controls and a beautiful ceiling fan to get the air moving at night! The bathroom adjacent to it was nothing short of phenomenal either! Even the sink was gorgeous! The shower was huge and had a beautiful large window with a curtain you could open to take in the view! There are 2 luxurious outdoor showers as well! We were able to get the football games while we were vacationing and watched Sunday Night Football in their large entertainment room on the huge big screen tv! There are two large carports for car rentals and the house is not far from the shops and restaurants if you want to get out for a night on the town! We enjoyed having breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the turquoise sea with the wonderful ocean breeze. The only problem I had the entire time was deciding whether or not I was going to leave ... but I knew my husband and kids would miss me ;)

We have been to Limetree twice and have had the best vacations there! The house is huge (5 bedrooms with a separate gate house that is totally private) and the views are incredible! Waking up each morning to fresh guava juice overlooking Francis Bay...now that's paradise! There is room to park at least 2 rental cars (we had a big group and you definitely need a car on St. John to get to the good beaches) and we had a blast hanging out in the hot tub every night! Can't wait to go back!

This was our first trip to St. John. We couldn't have chosen a better location than Peter Bay, or a better home than Limetree! It is brand new and nestled high up on the hillside-less than 15 minutes to Cruz Bay. The home is very large with living areas spread out over 3 levels. The decor is high-end custom in every room (the entire kitchen is professional Viking)- Not your average McMansion. The best part is the views from the property. Limetree borders the National Park- has gorgeous views of St. Thomas, Jost Van Dyck, Tortola, Cinnamon, Trunck. etc., The most spectacular collage of islands, beaches, sea and sunsets imagineable! There is also beautiful dark sky for star viewing, which is something unexpected that we really enjoyed. Don't forget to bring binoculars!!! The Love Family
