Three members of my extended family and I spent a lovely 5 days in this cottage situated fairly centrally the Ireland in the small village of Silvermines. The owner was great with correspondence, replying within less than 24 hours to my messages, and was always readily available whenever we needed him after we arrived. The cottage was comfortable, modern but constructred to look like an older building, it was really nice. The lounge furniture and beds were all really comfortable. Wifi was good. The bathrooms and appliances were modern and efficient and the kitchen was well equipped. We wished the weather was warmer so that we could enjoy the beautiful terrace, but September in Ireland is mostly wet and we knew it.
We were welcomed on our arrival with a freshly baked raisin bread which was awesome because we were starving and there are no restaurants in Silvermines. The pub across the road only opens at 6 pm and doesn't serve meals. Silvermines is a very small community so this was understandable and Nenaugh with plenty of food stores and restaurants is only 10 minutes away. The owner also had milk and butter for us as well as coffee and tea.
There are laundry facilities but not in the cottage itself and there was enough laundry soap to do a few loads which was plenty for our needs. We were not used to European washers and had trouble getting it to work and it took way to long to wash a load of clothes (because we didn't set it up right?). A comprehensive set of instructions on how to use the washer and dryer should be provided in the information booklet. Besides the laundry, the only con was how difficult it was to find the location even with a GPS, which may have been a deficiency of the product, but detailed directions would have helped.
All in all, we were very happy with this rental and we unanimously recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.
