When can we do this again?
We couldn't have asked for a better summer holiday. Our stay at Hemlock Point had it all: a comfortable and clean cottage with everything we needed, stunning decks with nap-inducing hammocks and outdoor couch, perfect lake location for stunning sunrises and sunsets, easy kayaking and amazing swimming. The area is quiet and charming. Working with Christine was easy and very professional. We hope to return soon!

beautiful cottage - as pictured!
beautiful little cottage on a really lovely lake. Highlight was the indoor wood stove, and the beautiful set of outdoor seating areas with fire pit and swimming dock overlooking Lake Chandos. Would love to visit again.

Total Relaxation
Everything about our one week stay was perfect! We made full use of the fire pit, and water excursions, the cottage was cozy, and we made full use of using this opportunity to connect as a family with no electronics of any sort being used. It was nice to see our two kids play and use their imagination! I caught my first 2 Pike ever, making my husband jealous!The decks were fabulous, and we look forward to renting in the near future! A tranquil setting with all amenities and comforts you could ever want or need
My son and I enjoyed the many decks and conversation areas, the views from any point on the property are stunning. Very private, the ultimate in cottage chic!

Relaxing summer retreat
My wife, doggie and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Aided by some great weather, we took advantage of the various decks for coffee in the morning and reading in the afternoon. The water was clean and refreshing. Took advantage of the paddle boat and kayak to explore the West Bay of Chandos. This is a great escape for a couple plus one.

Beautiful setting and a cute and well maintained cottage
We loved the cottage and the property. All the amenities you need. Amazing sunsets. Quite private and quiet.
The cottage, boats, hammocks, decks, indoor and outdoor furniture are in excellent condition.
Christine was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive.
We plan to come back next year!

Amazing honeymoon experience at Hemlock Point
My husband and I (and our dog, Bentley) stayed at Hemock Point for our honeymoon. Christine was fantastic communicating with us and very prompt with emails and details. We were sent multiple information emails before our stay so there were no surprises before our arrival.
We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is clean, comfortable, and stocked with practically anything you might need (particularly in the kitchen). The beds were extremely comfortable and the nights were very quiet and peaceful. As lovely as the inside of Hemlock Point is, it is the outside space that makes this cottage as magnificent as it is, with the multiple decks and levels. We spent a lot of time having breakfast on the "back" deck, lounging and reading on the "sofa deck", and enjoying great fires around the fire pit. We loved swimming and fishing off the dock (and we caught fish, too!) The cottage is extremely dog friendly - we loved dog dishes being provided and our dog Bentley loved the "doggie ramp" off the dock that allowed him to easily go in and out of the water. The view is stunning, morning or sunset. We didn't get around to taking the canoe out, but loved the kayaks and had a great paddle around the lake multiple times. We also really appreciated Christine's recommendations for restaurants, coffee shops, and outings. Standard 28 for cappuccinos, the Swiss Bear for a tasty comfort meal, and the Lakehouse for a more upscale night out were fantastic options! The cottage is far enough from town that you feel secluded, but close enough that if you need to grab something it's only a 30 minute round trip.
The cottage does get a bit cold overnight if the temperature drops below 10 degrees Celsius, but that's nothing the wood stove can't fix. It's also a bit close to neighbours on both sides, so if you are looking for something completely isolated, probably not the best option, but we felt there is enough foliage on either side for sufficient privacy.
Thanks for the fantastic week and for making our honeymoon relaxing and memorable. We can't wait to return for another stay in the future!

Perfect place for a family
I booked this cottage in June to stay with my family who was visiting me from France. The place was fantastic and was definitely very Canadian (Goose, Lake, Muskoka chairs, Kayaks, etc.). They all loved it so much that they want to come back to Canada! It was the perfect place to spend time with family and to watch beautiful sunsets! Highly recommended!
