The lake this house is on is wonderful, my family really enjoyed all the lake activities. There were some problems with the house and we had to have the owner come out a couple of days to address some issues. The downstairs bathroom had stool dried in it from previous guests that hadn’t been cleaned, I’ll save the gross details but we had Chris, the owner, come take care of it. That bathroom was unusable for all couple of days due to the toilet needing to be replaced. The sump pump alarm went off a couple of times for no fault of ours, it was because the float got stuck, but this resulted in a late night phone call to the owner and the entire house woke up because of the loud alarm. The upstairs freezer/refrigerator stopped freezing. We had to use the deep freeze in the storage area. We had patience with Chris, the owner, as we tried to be understanding that this house is lived in all year by her unless it’s rented so we understood there could be issues. The biggest problem I’ve had, and it’s been a horrible experience, is getting our cleaning refund back. I have confirmation messages telling me I will receive the refund, however, Chris’ communication regarding this is poor and here it is 3 months after my stay and I’m still trying to settle this.
