This property is a gem. It has easy access to the lake, a small nice beach and a very private feel even though other cabins are nearby. The authentic Finnish sauna is a hit with all ages especially followed by a run and jump off the dock and into the lake! The dock was also used for a wedding proposal - she said "Yes"! The interior is well maintained and cozy with lots of great cedar wood, and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Thank you to the hosts, Keith and Brenda, for a warm welcome and a chance to relive some very precious memories of our Mom/Nana whose favorite place was at Frazer Bay on Lake Vermilion.

If you love to see the sunrise and sunset, a variety of wildlife, and catching walleye's this a great place to be. It reminds me of being at my grandparent's cabin. It's rustic and cabiny-one toliet, an outhouse if needed., a- great sauna with the sandy beach a few steps away. Close to Shamrock Marine. We hope to make next year our third year staying at this cozy cabin.

Spectacular sunsets and great location on Lake Vermillion!! We have enjoyed our week long stay here for many summers and look forward to it each summer. Keith and Brenda are great hosts.

Perfect retreat for 2 people looking to disconnect for a week. We had a great time.

We have rented lake front cabins at lake vermillion for at least 10 years. This cabin was the most expensive with the lest amenities. The shower is next door in the sauna with extremely low water pressure. After changing the water filter to the cabin ( this the owner should have taken care of) the pressure wasn’t much better. The filter was almost black from the previous years use. The drive way needed to have limbs trimmed to not scratch your vehicle. The cabin was supposed to have internet but didn’t. Not worth the money they charged. The bedrooms didn’t have any closets for storage. The best thing was the cabins location to the water was nice.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cedar Cove. We loved our peaceful mornings/evenings sitting down by the dock, taking in the beautiful lake/scenery and sitting around the campfire at night. It was a perfect place to getaway! Owners were very nice and communicated quickly. Would definitely stay at Cedar Cove again!

We really enjoyed our week stay at this cabin on Vermillion! We especially enjoyed the authentic wood sauna, amazing sunsets, and where the cabin is located on the lake - nearby islands protect it from big winds plus nearby golf and grocery stores. We hope to go back next summer!

The cabin was clean, well stocked and just what our family needed for a week away. The sauna is such a plus in the North, allowing us to swim on cool days. Kids loved the sandy bottom, jumping off the dock (about 5-6ft deep off the end), playing with the extras (like sand toys) in the boat house. The boat house also has a little kids area that was cute. Clean and modern bedding (duvets not quilts from the 1980s!), ample towels for bathing and kitchen, although you need to bring beach towels. One thing to mention is the cabin is starting to slant on its foundation a bit, making you feel like you’re in a fun house at times. It’s more a quirk than a barrier to having a great time. Hosts are super nice and live next door to the property. There is ample tree coverage on either side of the property so it provides nice privacy and doesn’t feel like you’re on top of neighbors. You do need to bring your own drinking water and take all of your garbage and recycling with you when you check out. Would stay again!

This was a cute little cabin in the woods with a beautiful beautiful view of Lake Vermilion. A little protected from big winds, we had mostly calm and lovely weather in July. Beautiful sunsets over the lake and sunrises. A good dock-we had a pontoon, and 3 outdoor seating areas that were all fantastic. The sauna was perfect, and a few steps from the sand beach. Beds were comfortable and there was a reliable coffee pot.

Cabin was exactly as described, very clean and cozy, the space well used. The shower was in the sauna- and we were more than fine with that. We enjoyed beautiful lake views and sunsets from the living room and kitchen through the sliding glass doors leading to the deck. The outside area was just wonderful: spacious deck wrapped around 2 sides of the cabin with a table/chairs, gas grill and extra chairs and benches for sitting out on the deck; nice lawn, pathway, and fire pit/ seating area, and another outdoor seating area at the start of the dock. The dock allowed easy access from the water and a place to keep our boat (we put the boat in at the public access less than a mile away right on the Frazer Bay Road), the boat house near the dock had electricity, little extras like yard games and life jackets. the beach was sandy and great entrance from shore. We fished, swam, kayaked, canoed, and used our pedal boat. We visited the Vermilion Club, Bayview, The Landing and Wolf Bay Lodge and had great food! The owners were friendly and took time to introduce themselves, explain things about the property, but did not intrude upon our privacy- the layout of the yard and trees made us feel we had our own little piece of paradise for the week we were there.
