The town of Frigiliana is lovely and the buses of tourists that arrive every day certainly know it ! The evenings are quiet Our hosts for our 3 week stay were lovely and very responsive , could not ask for better. The weather was a little colder than we had hoped but it was unusual for Spain this time of year. We could not enjoy the patio as much as we had hoped. Be mindful the whole town is quite hilly so you will certainly earn your Wine ! Highly recommend

O terraço privado é o ponto chave onde dispõe de uma pequena piscina, barbecue e zona de refeição, com uma fantástica vista rural. Vários restaurantes e mini mercados a uma curta distância a pé. Superou bastante as nossas expectativas e tivemos umas relaxantes mini férias. Os anfitriões são pessoas extremamente amáveis, experientes e estão disponíveis sempre para qualquer eventualidade. Altamente recomendada!

The accomodation is ideal, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. A fantastic welcome pack and bottle of wine was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The balcony and plunge pool are brilliant, private, roomy and with great views. The location is great with easy accesss into the village. The nearest minimarket is within 50m. The hosts are very attentive. Overall thouroughly recommended - we will be back!!!

First time staying in Frigliana and I couldn’t have selected better accommodations. Javier and Rosario were excellent hosts and organised entry for us and kept in contact to ensure we arrived safely . Invitation pack left was appreciated and the accommodations was spotless and extremely well equipped. The roof terrace is the star of the show with tremendous views and plenty of areas to sunbathe or sit in the shade and just relax . Lots of restaurants and a few small bars in close proximity. It’s only a 12 minute walk to the bus terminal to Nerja . Journey takes 15 minutes and the buses are regular Frigiliana is a cobbled town and has lots of stairs .

We have just finished a week at Javier and Rosario villa, and we are so sad to leave. The villa is beautiful and has everything you could need! The plunge pool outside is perfect for a cool down after sunbathing and we enjoyed the little bbq in the evening. The location is idyllic with beautiful views from the garden. We will definitely be back and can't recommend this villa enough to everyone! Rosario and Javier are perfect hosts. Josie

We have just returned from a month of absolute tranquility. The home has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. Your host and hostess are always there for any help you may need but are never intrusive. A special mention of the terrace, from breakfast, to the plunge pool for a quick cooling off dip, to the area for that afternoon read or nap was excellent. A very pretty apartment in an excellent location in the beautiful white village of Frigiliana. The one bed apartment is spacious, decorated in a traditional style (I love all the tiles!)and with many homely touches. We visited for two weeks in August to experience the fabulous Tres Culturas festival and it was hot for us, but the apartment has air conditioning and a wonderful large roof terrace with a plunge pool and a pretty shady nook, so wonderful!! The views from the terrace are lovely , plants in pots add colour and perfume, a table and chairs for meals, two comfortable sunbeds and a sofa and two comfy chairs with coffee table set under the shady gazebo. There is a barbeque on the terrace, but as we were within walking distance of all the cafes and restaurants, we didn't bother! The entrance doorway to Arcos de la Almona is one of the prettiest and most photographed in the village! Plus you are in very safe, knowledgeable, friendly hands with your wonderful hosts Rosario and Javier. This was our first stay in the village, but we have stayed in Dachita, and La Reserva for longer stays for the last 11 years. That should tell you all you need to know!!

This is the 6th time we have stayed at arcos, we absolutely love the place, Javier and Rosario are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, and there's lots of personnal touches, the views from the roof terrace are amazing, and it's a lovely place to relax, thus that's why we have booked to return twice in 2020!

My wife and I decided to escape the cold winter in Scotland so booked Arcos for 3 months, January, February and March. The immaculate 1 bedroom flat sits above the owners house in the heart of the village. Do not be put off as Rosario and Javier are not intrusive but are on hand if you need them for any information or help. Arcos is open plan with a well equipped kitchen, dining for 4 people and a lounge area with first class satellite TV and excellent WiFi. After a days walking or soaking up the sun on the terrace we would retreat into the apartment which was really cozy in the cool nights due to the fantastic log burner which adequately heated the whole property. The bonus is the extensive, private terrace with sun loungers and shaded seating area along with a plunge pool ( yes even in the winter). Rosario also has the terrace decorated with lovely plants. We really enjoyed the experience of living in the village with, shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. A truly wonderful experience that we would like to repeat.
