Can't say enough about our experience at this property! The owner is warm and welcoming, the apartment charming - loaded with 100 year old craftsmanship - and centrally located within blocks of the amazing City College of New York. We immediately felt at home here. Inside is a full kitchen with modern appliances and everything/anything you need to cook a meal or two in, a washer/dryer, and thoughtful amenities throughout. This was a perfect home base for my family and I. We can't thank Milton enough for the great apartment and exceptional hospitality! We ❤️ NY!

This is a great apartment to base your NYC trip. It is HUGE! Spacious, clean and quiet, except for the interminable NYC sirens. Very close to the Subway and the area feels safe. The owner, Milton, is a total gentleman. I travelled with my 16 year old son and we are both novice travellers. Milton was helpful, responsive and very kind. I would return to this property if I travelled to NYC again. We had the very best holiday.

Milton is a very responsive and helpful host, many thanks for your advice and assistance during our stay in NY. The appartment is large in size, everything you need is available (towels, linen, toiletpaper, etc) It is tidy and the environment is a nice neighbourhood and safe. Just a 5 min walk to the next metro station. We can recommand this appartment and Milton without any restrictions, many thanks for an unbelievable stay at NY.

I have given the owner Milton several days to comment before publishing but he has opted not to I endorse previous comments in that the apartment is very spacious, pretty well-equipped with appliances, enjoys comfortable beds and is conveniently located a few blocks north of Central Park. 2 subway stations are within a few minutes giving rapid access to Central Manhattan. The M2 bus route down town via Fifth Avenue stops outside the IHOP is even closer. The numerous books and guides were much appreciated. Milton answered questions we had before arrival and was there when we reached the property at 11.00 pm having flown from UK. He had arranged at our request some milk, bread, jam (preserve), coffee, tea, plus eggs and bacon which we had not asked for. There were other things available including cereal, honey and many condiments. We were unsure about consuming those as Milton had previously answered a question about such things being available for us as "I do not provide any foodstuffs for guests" - when asked during our stay if we were able to use these items and if we needed to replace or pay for them he did not answer. I found this confusing particularly as there were clothes in a wardrobe implying the accommodation was sometimes occupied by family or close friends - not a problem but it would have been helpful to know. The following comments and suggestions should be viewed in the context of the price paid for although the price was not excessive for the area it was at the upper end of what I would expect given the following shortcomings. The property details refer to 2 full bath (rooms). Maybe a linguistic thing but there was one bathroom with a basin, toilet and shower over a bath but this bath had no plug and appeared to be a jacuzzi style with the electrics removed - so not really usable. This was on the floor between the two bedrooms. The second (so called) bathroom was a shower cubicle with a frosted door next to the dining table (offering no privacy) and the basin and WC was in a small room next to said shower cubicle. Both on the lower floor. This rendered the kitchen-diner effectively "out of bounds" whilst the shower was being used. The supply of crockery and cutlery was minimal - basically 4 sets which meant either regular hand-washing of items or inefficient use of the welcome dishwasher. We were baffled by the switches for the ceiling lights and there were several lights in the lounge would not switch on and others on the landing in particular which seemed to have complex 2 or 3 way switching systems. Although the garden was a welcome feature it did not appear to have been made ready for guests and a table would have been good. Not sure if it is a legal requirement but smoke detectors seemed to be disconnected or non-existent. There are other wires and cables hanging off walls and skirting boards. The air-conditioning unit in the back bedroom leaked when used. We did not try the unit in the front bedroom. The entrance porch area was very untidy. It is important to emphasise we had a most enjoyable holiday and did not spend much time in the apartment. I have reported to try and alert folk to things they might find showstoppers.

Nous avons été enchantés de notre séjour chez Milton. Le duplex est vraiment spacieux et bien équipé. Il est très bien situé et le quartier est calme. Il y a des magasins dans les environs et le métro n'est pas très loin. De plus l'accueil de Milton est vraiment très très sympathique.Nous sommes arrivés très tard et cela n'a pas posé de problème. Pour notre retour tardif (vol à minuit) nous avons pu laisser nos bagages sur place et il nous a même aidés en appelant le taxi. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir!

We had a great time in New York City and loved staying in Milton’s place! With there being six of us (2 best friends and our teenage kids), we had plenty of room and weren’t ever on top of each other. Bring that it had two bedrooms and bathrooms, it was so much better of an option for us than a hotel room! Getting to the train in either direction from the house was an easy 5 minute walk and made our exploring the city easy. Milton was a very kind host and met every need that we could’ve had, including dropping off some extra wash cloths for us as soon as he knew we had the need. Thank you so much Milton! We will definitely recommend your place to anyone we know coming to the city.

The rooms are bigger than we expect. Very clean, with all supplies we need for a vacation home. Subway stations and grocery stores are 2 blocks away, very convenient. Milton is kind, responsive to requests, and gave good advices for our NYC trip. Very satisfied overall.

This apartment was ideal for 6 of us. It was clean, spacious and had 2 bathrooms- a rare find! The subway stops are a bit of a hike up and downhill-about 5 blocks, but neighborhood is fine with shops and restaurants throughout.

La casa está genial, nosotros fuimos 2 parejas, estuvimos una semana y todos genial. La casa está muy bien equipada, además tienes el metro a 5 minutos. Y Milton muy bien.

Beautiful spacious apartment. Friendly and very helpful manager Milton We weren’t used to being in a city so found it noisy especially at the front of the apartment which led onto the street. Our younger daughters were uncomfortable with the noise. We were in back bedroom so didn’t hear it and slept soundly. Easy access to the sights. Girls loved IHOPS. We went there every day for breakfast and never ate our way through the 5 pancake stack!
