It's difficult not to duplicate the previous reviews, Casa De Limon is a gem! The journey from Malaga with the map Martyn sent was so easy and so picturesque. The house itself is in a well kept little complex with pool , which we were fortunate to have to ourselves when we returned from our hikes. Casa de Limon has everything you could possibly need to enhance your stay , there is so much information on the area and we particularly found the walk book on the Ronda mountains useful ( so much to come back for next time). There are sun loungers in a store outside should you need them or just the patio set outside the door. kitchen had everything we needed, i read in a previous review about the size of kitchen , sorry but with the prices and quality of eating out in the village, who needs anything more? The tapas bar up behind the Guardia Civil ( Cuesta) is a true Spanish bar as i remember them, television on ( football of course) , locals chatting ( mainly men), no frills or finery but good cheap tapas , mostly 1 euro each! you may not get your 5 a day but the fun of trying them out. El Patio , yes the owner is far from charming but the dining patio is lovely and the food good , My husband tried the bull's tail and loved it ( and he can grumble !). The Square , of course is a great place to eat and drink and we got to know other travellers there and enjoyed eating together in the casual Tapassy way. The village is just lovely, the way it is situated up in the mountains, the views are fantastic, the walks( The ill fated resovoir up the road is fascinating as is the history of it, also the cave nearby) the little supermarket ,hearing the cockerels in the distance every morning, it's all just what we hoped for for our 5 day visit, we were sad to leave Casa de Limon but we have great memories and would definately love to return and would recommend it highly.

After reading previous reviews on Casa de Limon we decided to book for our summer holidays and were delighted that we did. It was very easy to book and Martyn was fantastic with providing us with excellent directions and a very helpful overview of the places we could visit/eat etc. There were 3 of us and we found the house perfect. It was spotlessly clean with various books available on the local area and most importantly a little Spanish dictionary which proved to be an essential item!!! The house had everything we needed and a lovely patio area where we spent many happy hours relaxing in the sun. Montejaque itself is stunning. The local people are so friendly and there is a fantastic little bakery where you can buy freshly made bread. Our favourite spot was sitting in the square in the evening with a chilled glass of wine, relaxing and just being part of typical mountain village life for a short time. There is plenty to do and we contacted Hike and Bike in Ronda who took us out mountain biking for the day - a fantastic route from the mountains down to the sea. Wayne our guide was excellent and we had great fun. There is also a lovely walk from Montejaque to Ronda which we did which I would definitely recommend. Overall this was probably the most relaxing holiday we have had. Thank you Martyn and Carole for sharing your lovely home with us.

Nice modern house set in a landscaped courtyard garden with pool shared with other residents. Not a large house but adequate for max 4 people.

My partner, our 8 week old baby and I all stayed here for a relaxing Autumn break. The house is situated in a small complex around a grassed area and small pool. The house itself was compact but clean and had everything we needed and we appreciated having the two floors enabling us to leave the baby asleep upstairs. The house is easily walkable to the local shops and bars of the attractive village and we had plenty of chance to practice some Spanish with the friendly locals. The area itself is very scenic and I went for a few runs and hired a bike from the tourist office to explore the mountains a bit further and take advantage of the sun. Ronda is an easy drive away for all its tourist sites and large supermarkets etc. The owners were easy to deal with and kindly left some wine and beer for our arrival.

Our family of four enjoyed a week long stay in Casa de Limon. The weather was glorious and the surrounding area was very picturesque. We were lucky to stay during Montejaque's festival week, so enjoyed attending many musical and cultural events late into the evening. The owners were extremely helpful and attentive and provided loads of helpful information about the village and local area, including walking guides and maps. We particularly enjoyed walks in the hills surrounding the village, trips to local towns and villages, and swimming in the local lake of Il Playita, near Zahara. We enjoyed eating out and had a wonderful birthday celebration meal at La Casita. The property itself is compact but very well equipped and the shared pool area is very pretty and well maintained. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone interested in experiencing rural Andalucia.

We spent 2 weeks in May at Casa Limon. It is a comfortable, well equipped home in a small friendly complex. Communication with the owner Martyn was excellent. His travel guidebooks & folder with information about the local area were very helpful. We heard the weather in Spain this year has been unusual & we had weather that was hot, cold, wet, and dry but that was not a problem if you are prepared for anything. We quickly felt at home in this small village & were happy our visit was at a time of one of the major village celebrations. Montejaque is a good base for visits to other white villages. We were pleased how close it was to Ronda, with an easy drive on a good road. If you have visited the big tourist areas of southern Spain this is a great place to relax & see the real Spain.

The service from Martyn the owner was fantastic. We felt incredibly well looked after with lots of info and guidelines way over and above what you might expect, to help us get the most out of the area and our stay. His communications before our trip helped us to feel really confident about our booking, and we were not let down. The house itself is lovely, and has lots of extras you might not expect (great range of DVDs and local travel guides), and was very comfortable, in a friendly and peaceful development. The location was great, right in the heart of the town, and a good base for exploring further afield. We would definitely recommend Casa de Limon.

We travelled here in October for some autumn sun and were not disappointed! However even if the weather hadn't been good it would still have been a brilliant holiday. The house was lovely and had all the facilities for a comfortable stay, even a wide selection of DVDs for a rainy day if that ever did happen. The amount of information on the surrounding area is very useful as there are guidebooks and a information folder in the house. The kitchen was well equipped. It is set in a small complex with a pool, very quiet and peaceful. Having a glass of wine sat on the balcony in the balmy evenings was perfect. There is also a terrace with outdoor furniture. There are lots of shops and bars in the village and it is within easy distance of Ronda, a larger town in a magnificent setting. Some day trips that we did were: Marbella, Seville, El Chorro gorge and a swimming/kayaking lake near there and my favourite, a small nearby village called Grazalema where we did a fantastic walk to a mirador (the name escapes me but I think it was El Boyers). I hadn't realised how much there was to do in the area and wish we had booked to stay longer! Definitely would recommend this house and the area!

Casa de limon is a clean well furnished thoughtfully presented holiday home.The standard of furniture and bedding much better than many holiday lets !! The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area --wonderful walks and scenery-- and great restaurants.The house is part of a small immaculate complex maintained with great pride. Air conditioning works perfectly and is a joy in the heat. There is a large private patio with table chairs etc -- perfect for relaxed dinners. Do have tapas in the square in Montejaque , do walk up to the mirador (viewpoint) and do book dinner in nearby Molina del Santo (reccommended by owner) We had a great holiday here and hope to return.

Beautiful part of Spain - great for culture vultures, chilling by the pool or walking/ cycling up and down mountains! Lovely accommodation and surrounding area. Close to Granada and the famous Alhambra - try to pick a day when it's not 38 degrees in the shade though! Ronda is worth visiting for shopping, history, meals out, as is Granada. This is the place to go if you want to absorb the real Spain... the real Spanish people - you have to make an effort to converse in Spanish, even if the most you can muster is 'Hola!' or 'Gracias'. The house is full of character, with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The pool was great too. The village has everything you need, with bigger supermarkets 10mins away in Ronda. Martyn very prompt at answering questions - everything organised and efficient. A lovely holiday had by all.
