Sad to say, the property was not worth for the amount we paid. There wasn’t any issue with the checkin and hadn’t had any second thought when host passed us air freshner. But the whole place changed to a gas chamber at night with constant foul smell inside the rooms. We had to spend our quality time spraying air freshner inside and spending some time outside. It was only towards the end of the day that we realised the smell was actually coming from the Kitchen. We closed the door and blocked the smell coming out of the kitchen by stuffing mats under the door. Though it did not eradicate the smell fully, it helped us. We noted that the smell was also coming from bathroom but we had no choice to stop other than closing its door. We spent the full two days. We informed host on a faulty fan in one of the room. Host acknowledged the problem but did not find a solution. This made us all four to cramp inside a single bedroom. The utensils provided in the kitchen were not cleaned and were oily and sticky. The kitchen was in a unhygienic condition and the foul smell made it the worst. The place is easily accessible and in a nice location. But poor maintenance have made it unfit to live. We also requested a refund of SGD 110 ($191 was the total amt we paid) from the host as we only used one room. But Host rejected with paying us back a mere $10. He was so unprofessional by even claiming that we had malafide intentions since we raised the issue after the stay which was not true. I involved Airbnb into this, Airbnb provided the refund of 110 we requested for. I have used Airbnb in many cities in Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia and this was my first ever worst experience.

Spacious rooms and nicely maintained. The owner is very friendly and keeps in touch with you during stay along with very useful tips. Overall very nice and good experience.

Completely satisfied by the service of panacea, its a wonderful homestay and hosts are very warm.and friendly! Good option to go with!

Considering the long week end, I decided to spend my time with my family in Coorg by staying at a Home Stay. Was so happy I choose PANACEA STAY HOME. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the hosts made us feel like friends and not paying guests. the amazing views from terace was beautiful and the breakfast and dinner was yummy and more than enough. It was a delightful break from the routine city life.once agin if get time to visit Madikeri..I will choose PANACEA STAY HOME... :).. THANKS Vadi raj
