What a wonderful experience! From the moment we booked, Mark has been an excellent host. He helped us plan our trip as if he were our own personal travel buddy! The condo is the most well equipped we have stayed in. The snorkels and kayaks were our personal favorites. We loved that the kitchen had any gadget we needed as well. The view is out of this world. Superb. We booked our trips through Memo. Most certainly do that! We loved Adrian and the guys down at Father Rooster as well. The taxi into Coco was inexpensive and we did that multiple times. When we bring our girls back, we will rent a golf cart. Cleanest beach in the area! Do yourself a favor and BOOK NOW!

We're big fans of Los Almendros de Ocotal - the quality snorkelling, the safe and comfortable accommodations, the pretty grounds with visiting wildlife and the beach/ocean view. So for our third trip to Costa Rica we were very excited to find Mark and Cheryl's place. What Mark has added to this excellent location is an incredible set of amenities that enabled us to get to town more easily and inexpensively, cook with ease, and lighten our luggage - three huge benefits that made our trip that much more relaxing and fun. He has the condo so wonderfully set up, I challenge you to use even a fraction of the amenities. Our favourites were the two bikes with baskets and lock, the quality binoculars (so we didn't need to pack ours), the washing machine with laundry soap provided, the umbrellas and flashlights, the GPS and the vegetable steamer insert. We always bring our own snorkelling gear and wetsuits but his snorkelling closet reminded me of a dive op. We walked both the first steep downhill and the two subsequent uphills and still biked to town in 25 min (20 min to the wonderful outdoor pizza restaurant La Caveja) - once past those little hills it was an easy and cool ride. The AC and fans worked perfectly, there was great water pressure, and the rain shower heads in the two renovated bathrooms were a treat. I am sure every VRBO/rental we stay at in the future, we will be comparing the hosts to Mark. He is simply amazing - the most responsive, thoughtful and clear communicator we have ever had the pleasure to work with. Day and night, even for little things, he answers with light speed with a wealth of helpful information. Seriously I have stayed at hotels with large teams that were slower to respond than he was! Thanks for everything, Mark. It was a pleasure staying with you. We hope to stay with you again.

If you’re looking to stay in a condo close to the beach, look no further. From our first inquiry and throughout the stay, Mark was amazingly attentive, promptly answering questions and providing information. Every question we had, including my inability to follow television instructions, was promptly answered. The condo itself is thoughtfully stocked with anything you could ever need — and then some. The kitchen has pots, pans, cutting boards, dishes, glasses, cutlery, blender, spices, oils, sugar, and much more. Beach supplies include chairs, a closet full of snorkeling equipment, and towels. Mark and Cheryl provided toilet tissue and bath supplies. Hot water was fantastic, the A/C was flawless, and the full-sized washer and dryer a great convenience. We spent a bit more time indoors than anticipated over the first few days due to a tropical storm, but the selection of books, cable channels, and board games kept us occupied. Throughout the day, we enjoyed the view of Playa Ocotal, a gorgeous cove and swimming beach, from the dining table and porch. I highly recommend Memo for adventures and driving. Memo even checked in on us after the tropical storm.

If you are looking for a low key location where the beach is clean and not too crowded, this is it! The closet of snorkeling gear was a big plus also as was the pool access. We’d stay here again. 4 stars on location/neighborhood only because there isn’t really a “neighborhood”. You need to go in to Coco for groceries and such. Father Roosters is the only restaurant within walking distance (which is worth a visit for a cocktail or dinner). We also used Memo from MemoAdventures twice and he was great. Highly recommend it!

Great screened in balcony porch with amazing wildlife right outside! The provided beach chairs, cooler, and sand mat made our days at the beach even better.

We had a wonderful time! Mark, the property owner was amazing. I’ve been renting condos on VRBO for many years and have never received such an attentive owner. Any questions we had we answered immediately. The property is not close to town which makes it very tranquil and quiet. We did rent a golf cart so we were able to go to the grocery store and explore the town. We had a great time! Thank you Mark!

Thanks for a great stay. This property has everything you could ask for and more. The owner provides with a variety of things including a gps unit to guide you around.. there are bikes and snorkel equipment and kayaks …. I kept thinking are you kidding me??!, this property has it all!

We very much enjoyed this condo for our 1-week stay in Guanacaste. The complex was lovely and we really appreciated the screened-in porch for the views, privacy and security. The unit was clean and well equipped with lovely art and Chorotegan pottery pieces on display. The owners go out of their way to provide information and services for a great visit to the region. They were also incredibly responsiveness to any questions we had during our stay. Thank-you again for sharing your Costa Rica home with us.
